As Lnewqban said, use your trig functions, i.e. the tangent function. Your calculator function on your computer will give you the angle.

A different question.
My 30yr old/ new 1/4 scale Bud Nosen cub ran down the field with tail off ground but would not take off.
Do I have:
1. Too much donw thrust on engine?
2. Nose heavy?
3. Or should I just trim the elevator with some "down"?
Thanks for any healp

Not sure this will answer your questions but: on my 1/4 scale Cub, it liked a CG set at about 30% of chord. Some will say that is to far forward but it worked for me. You will need about 5 degrees downthrust and 3 to 5 degrees right thrust for easy trim. If you decalage (difference between the wings angle of attack and the elevator angle of attack) is per plans, it should lift of fine with just a touch of up elevator after it gains flying speed on the ground. If you have trouble taking off, it may be because you have the main landing gear to far forward, if per plans it should be okay.

Thanks Rodney,
Mine is balanced at 25% from LE,I can easily take off some weight from the front as I moved the engine forward with spacers to do that.
Not sure if I can get inanother flight before oldman winter sets in as the winds are unpredictable but will try, thanks
What kit is yours? What engine do you have?
I am using a OS FT-120 Gemini engine (4 stroke) which leaves slightly underpowered but lifts off well in no wind days.

Both of mine were SIG kits, one had a 1.20 4 stroke, the other a .90 4 stroke. Either engine was plenty. Your CG at 25% of chord should be fine, better a bit nose heavy than tail heavy, especially on first flights.
