Are you saying that you have charged three different planes (RX's) along with your TX each time, using the same charger and in each instance the RX's have only 50% of full charge while the TX is at 100%?

Your transmitter shows voltage over 9.6V, right? And your receivers show voltage over 4.8V, right?
Is this the 50% difference?
That is normal. Your TX has an 8 cell pack that is twice as many cells as in the RXs. If you hook up the JR set, the TX and RX, and charge them overnight with the JR charger, they should show over 9.6 for the TX and over 4.8 for the RX. The charger that comes with a radio set would fill up the capacity of both batteries at about the same rate.
What amount of charge does your quick charger say it's putting into the packs when you use it?

ok guys i have lost you and me. lets start over the packs in my planes are charging up but not full.. i use a lighted battery checker and it shows when i test them after a all nite charge of 50% thats half what it is supposed to be........ now the radio's or tx charge up fine............... my ????? was why do my rx batterys not charge to 100% and yes they are good battery packs

Are you checking the rx battery, through a switch harness or right off the battery conectors.I have had a bad switch and when I tested with my tester through the charging jack in the switsh harness the batteries were low ,disconected the battery from the switch and tested it it was full. Bad switch and harness, changed it ,it was fine. This is one reason people like to run two switches and batteries.Might not be your problem but it is worth a look.If not sure Change it anyway,Really what is $10.00 for a main componit in a $500.00 or more plane.

You can not reliabley tell the state of charge by reading the voltage. The only way to know for sure is to do a controlled discharge cycle where you control the current and measure the time it takes to drop the voltage to the cuttoff voltage which is typically 0.9 volts/cell if you want to compare against factory specs. Some chargers like the Triton, Hobbico Elite and several others allow you to set this up and do it automatically. If you are charging at 0.1C for 12 to 16 hours, you can be sure that the batteries have obtained all the charge that they are capable of. Check out www.rcbatteryclinic.com for some good info on the care and use of all types of batteries.
