Just a quick one...
When looking at covering, I see a lot of designs. I know some kits come with decals but what I wonder is all the color designs with multiple colors on a plane... Are those just strips of monokote cut up and then ironed on? For example, this picture I got from the gallery..

All the different colors, are they just different monokote pieces stuck over the bottom main color? I n other words, can I design a plane with a scheme of multiple colors and just buy the different monokote colors and then cut them up into pieces I need and stick them on the main covering?

On a covering job like that it is usually individual pieces cut and ironed on separately.
Trying to put that much trim over a single solid color would create a bubble nightmare.
MinnFlyer has some good videos here that show you how to do it step by step.

My Feedback: (4)
Drew, a simple scheme and a good one for a first attempt is this one.
Start by covering the bottom with a dark color (Blue, red green etc.)
Then cover the top with a light color (White, yellow etc)
Then cover the top-front with the same color you put on bottom.
Finally, add a white pinstripe (If your light color is white) to give it a little pazzaz

Hey Mike...
Great videos by the way...
I posted it in another post but maybe you can help me. Do you have the 3 draws for a Sig Four-star that I can pop into Photoshop and use to practice covering colors on it and seeing the kind of design I might like to put on it when I finally get to my first build project this next winter?
I think i read somewhere that you were the photoshop king... Unless I'm mixing you up with someone else... So I'm sure you might know a thing or two about it.
