Default Rossi .53 engine

I'm looking for a strong motor for a 40 size Ultra Stick. I want to be able to fit it into the stock motor mount so I won't have to re-drill holes and relocate the already installed anchor nuts. I'd rather not shell out a fortune and go 4 stroke. Does anyone have any experience with the Rossi .53?

RBacio, I don't no anything about Rossi engines but I had to reply because your name is really close to mine. Take off the O and add a C and thats my name. Thought you'd like to know.

RBacio:

Generally speaking, the Rossi engines are very powerful, but have to turn high rpm to do it. And they are mostly heavier than other engines of the same displacement.

In other words, the Rossi 53 will drag your 40 stick, if propped right, out of sight in a heartbeat. But vertical? You might not like it. The Rossi just wants to go fast.

If you already have the Rossi, bolt it on and go. But on the Stick I think you'll be happier with a lighter engine.

Bill.

Default os

I hear the os. 50 is a strong engine in comparison to the 46.

Rossi 53 will not fit into an engine mount for a 40 like the OS or TT. Even a Rossi 40 won't fit, they have a larger case. The Rossi 40, 45, and 53 have the same size case.

I don't think that it is a standard .46 size mount. The Mfg.'s instructions say that the mount will accept up to a .58, besides you guys have already talked me out of the Rossi. I have already opted to go with the OS.50SX.

Thanks for your guidance
