Fail Safe Settings

My Feedback: (9)
I put everything centered and throttle at idle. If you have the throttle off and you get control back it could cost you the plane. I don't do the slow circle because my flying is wild. The plane is inverted as much as up right. If I have a little down Elev and the plane is inverted, well you know.

It depends on many things not the least of which is what plane you are flying.
Slow circles are OK of you have a Cub and expect it to land itself in a farmer's field somewhere. BUT if you are flying a Jet with the throttle to the firewall - it's a different story. [

I knew a Jet Jock that had his fail safe set for throttle off and a snap roll - the idea was that IF the plane is out of control - bleed off as much energy as possible NOW! Before it goes too far and before it hits anything... [&o]
He considered it an intelligent thing to do rather than have a long range missle ... [sm=frown.gif]
I gave him full marks for the ability to write off the AC before it could hurt someone. [sm=thumbs_up.gif]
