Default Delta's

Am I the only one around that likes a good glow powered delta? I would prefer an ARF...

Nitro models had 2, a Kangaroo and a Swallow. Both have been out of stock for over 4 months. Bruce Thorpe has the Delta vortex, "I have one on order".

Is there any other companies that carry a Delta as an ARF?

The Delta Vortex is a nice sport plane with no undesirable characteristics I'm aware of

From what I have seen, deltas tend to be designed for one type of SPECIFIED power, not a broad range, and they are initially very fast and difficult to fly. I fly an old Hustler with a well worn Veco .19 up front. Take offs are steep and breathtaking, but then too "Wow, is that thing fast..." is often heard.

The Bruce Thorp Delta Vortek doesn't care whether it is powered with a OS 61FX or Saito 100, it flies about the same. It is not a fast plane. It almost flies like a trainer.

I have owned a Diamond Dust, a twin engine Diamond Dust and a couple of Mach Racers. All were pretty easy to fly. Deltas can be fast or slow. Diamond Dusts have been flow with everything from a .25 to a .91.

I had piped engines in my 2 Mach Racers and they were fast, but at low throttle, they were very nice. Easy to land. I had one on wheels and one hand launch.

Here's my old Top Flight Hustler, vintage around 1965. K&B 21 DF engine. Takes off and lands nose high like a 747 Radio was a PCS
