I have an areo eagle with the v tail. When I turn on the function in my radio, nothing works right. If I turn on elevon, then elevator is right, but they seem to move opposite for turning. If I want to bank right, the right fin should go up and the left down Is that right?

V tail mixing is different from elevon mixing. Elevon mixes aileron and elevator, but V tail mixes rudder and elevator.
You need to see if your radio has "V-Tail" mixing.
Good luck

Oh, and if this is a hand launch plane (no ground handling required), then the V-tail will be all elevator. You don't need any mixing at all.
Do you have two separate servos for the V-tail, or just one servo with a Y-pushrod?

v-tail,
The plane will turn in the direction of the elevator thats pointing down.
Take a piece of paper and bend part of it like your turning with right rudder, then keeping it in a right rudder position
just bring it down like a V tail, you will see it's pointing down, then position it in the oppisite direction , you will see it's in the up position
but your still turning right. Left elevator up and right elevator down, your turning right. and you must use V tail function on your transmitter.with two servos.one for each elevator, OR use a vector director well at least thats what they used to call them back in the olden days, lol

Ok I see. I have two servos and everything is fine. the right turn right fin down thew me for a loop.
Your basically steering the tail to point the nose where you want it to go.

Should look like this...
First set up the elevator function so that both go up with back stick.
Set the servo polarities to do this.
Then swap channels for the servos if the turning function is reversed.
