your engine spins up when you hit the throttle making lots of smoke, but then when you're going 30-40 mph the smoke tends to spread out a bit

where do you run them?
Front? or center?

I have one in the center in my H7 truggy that I took out of mt Dominator, and it seams "jerky"
I run them Front and center with a 1000wt Standard in the rear, If you run center only it will be "Jerky".

Another thing I read was you where thinking of 50-60 wt shock oil for the jumps. The problem there is that if your shocks are too hard on the rough lead into the jumps you wont get any speed up as the car will be bouncing all over.

I understand grahama but according to this the stock holes were too small: http://www.twf8.ws/new/tech/car/hoba...per7step3.html

So i decided while i was rebuildling to drill them out. now they arnt running 25 in the rear and 20 in the front, im running 40 all around and I have alotta suspension travel. Goin over speed bumps(maybe 2 foot air at MAX) I grind my chassis, I need to up the wt or else when im going over 5 foot jumps im just gonna keep landing the car super hard... and i dont want that to happen

If you drop the car from 2' and it bottoms out, that's typical, mine will too
If you try and stiffen it up so it doesn't bottom when dropped from 5' it will handle terrible

1/8th scales bottom out off jumps, they just do.
It’s how fast they recover from the bottoming out that makes them handle good or bad. If you have it so stiff that it doesn’t bottom out any little bump will bounce it into the air and your wheels will never be on the ground, you need to find the best compromise for the track conditions where you race.

Well, IMHO 20-25wt is too light with stock pistons, with 1.3mm pistons, you’re not getting much dampening.
I see by reading the link you posted that guy has a different setup philosophy
I run 40-35 with the stock holes, but I think I said that already,
Firm dry flat track I might go up to 50-45

Dry a few tank with different setups til you find what YOU like
Good luck

Thats what im going to do, but im going to stary with prolly 55 and 50

Also I need some tires. Now i dont know for the local track what the track conditions are, so no help on that yet, but what about some hard tires with cleets for grass play (bashing) and they need to be hard so i can drive it on road too. Any tire for that? What about inserts too? I notice on some of my tires(crimefighters the most) they become very tall at high rpms off the ground, does that have to do with the insert or tire compound or what?

Heh my rear chassis brace kept comming up and hitting my rear disks so i had to nylock that so if the screw falls out it wont hit my breaks to take me outta the race

Also my carb came lose while running, had to clean it up and tighten it wayyyy down.

Im not too happy with this Picco 0-1? I know its a powerhouse and I dont think many more .21 engines can surpass it, especally under 350 or 400. Any of the RB engines push more than 2.7 hp? Or produces more bottom end than the 0-1(I dont have the 0-1 BP, im tlaking about the 0-1)

My bump box seems not to hold a charge... My charger will tell me its done charging by beeping(Prophet pro 1,2,or 4 amps, it beeps on all of them) the bump runs really fast plugged in, then on batt mode the rpms drop significantly? Battery problem? Connection Problems?... I dont mind re wiring the whole thing.... Also its the Ofna one with a blue box and chrome top. I take it the 2 right plugs(red and black) are for glow plug ignightors? and the 2 yellow ones on the left are for?

No tire will hold up great on the road, But,
last week at our track the water was off and one guy was running the "Badlands" he was hooked up on the dry dusty track and the tires looked very good at the end of the day, where as my crimefighters were toast. If I was in the market for "basher tires" I'd get Badlands

As far as the chassis brace goes, Loctite should do it

Batteries?
The Ofna True Start box you have really will perform better with a 12 volt gell cell battery.
Charge it over night @ .5 amp and it will last for a few days of racing. I also use mine as a power supply to charge my Tx/Rx batteries.

Badlands rock. They start with almost 1/4 inch of tread and the composition is just perfect for the dusty tracks. Tey also dont hook up to badly in the bends when you've left that braking too late, so you slide rather than flip.

Good luck Cloud! ALOT of hobby stores mark their kits up 15 - 25% in order to make a decent dollar. If they give you that discount, they are basically going to shoot themselves in the foot!

Hehe and they didnt give me any discount for my bday
BUT i did give the guy a 3300 battery pack(going to sell my electric LOSI XX-4 on this site hopefully)
anyways i gave him that and he gave me his 40% discount on everything i bough including a Airtronics servo: at 6v 125 ox torque and .07s turn. Not bad, he didnt have any cash to buy the pack so he gave me his discount. I feel that 60 bucks for a 105 servo pays for the batterypack then all the odds and ends made it better for me.

Holy hell i played with an LST their.... pictures of those shocks dont do them justice..... their big.... really big. I might have to put my tmaxx up for sale and look for an LST

My hobbie shop is still usless and i bough 60 wt for the rear and im wondering if mixing 1/2 of a bottle left of 40 wt with 1 of the 60 wts i bough will give me close to a 55 wt oil.

My math. 1/2 bottle =1 part. 1 part 40 wt with 1 part 60 wt = 50 wt.
1 part 50wt with 1 part 60 wt = close to 55 wt.? does that work??
