Hi Guys,
Just thought i would share my hyper experiences so far.
Brought a Hyper 7 PBS RTR Pro 3 weeks ago, when i received it the transmitter would control both channels so i have sent that back for repair or replace, luckily i have another remote
The settings that came from new were HSN 4 turns out, MRN flush and LSN 3.5 turns out from flush after adding some fuel and trying to pullstart it was a no fire so i decide it was time for the hairdryer and after heating the crank case it fired 2nd pull. I did 1 tank idle, 1 tank 3 minute idle cool then repeat then another idle tank. The next 6 tanks were quarter throttle and taking it easy. Another 2 tanks quarter to WOT doing burst runs (BTW no need to heat crank case now) and boy is it bloody quick seems to take a bit to warm up though but i guess its still not fully broken in yet?
Well after the last start i brought it back in to cool and run another tank and when i lifted the cover what did i see a broken pullstart
apprantely the high compression motors sometimes reverse and suck the pullstart back in on itself and cause them to snap, so i must be one of those lucky ones
So i will be getting a new pullstart tomorrow to get the beast back up and runing.
Current needle settings at the moment are HSN 3.25 out, MRN flush and LSN 3 turns out from flush and is runing quite nicely i think the LSN needle require some more tweaking but will see.
Sorry for dribbling but thought i would share.
kind regards.
EDIT - Motor is a Hyper 8 port turbo

I'm guessing you meant the RTR not Pro and then it would come with the Pullstart. But why not invest in a starter box then you dont need to use the pullstart. The other good news ids if it is a Hyper 21 then you dont need to modify anything to use the box. Happy bashing.

You can get a starter box for $05 box..a good ofna chrome top one to..off of ebay withe verything included, battery, power panel, glow plug ignitor..etc...than shipping to australia would be some more cash..but stil maybe only like $130 approx.
Trust me the pullstarts are gonnna keep breaking. And no you dont need another backplate to use the starter box.

were you talking Aus$ and no you dont HAVE to swap the backplate. But you could if you wanted to make it run smoother andincrease the power a little.

My hyper 7 sports was running very nicely (first time driving it), tends to roll if you brake as you go round a corner but then i suppose most would. Goes like a rocket in fact
. Seems to handle grass very well and tomorrow i will check it out on tarmac. Nearly lost a wheel bolt as i forgot to tighten them but after 20Min's looking i found it.
All going great so far!!!
