Default Stall?

I have a os rg-x. It's had about 10-12 tanks of fuel through it. The problem im having is the engine stalls after i go full throttle. I brake and turn, then it stalls. Im not sure what to try.. maybe the carb opening bigger? Thanks for any help. It seems to stall only when i take a turn fast.
btew, i have kyosho inferno sports.

take off your air filter and look at the carb. when you hit the brake, does the carb close?

Er no. The settings sound fine. Just look at the age of that engine. 10-12 gallons is just about time for a piston and liner for that engine. My thinking is that youve lost compression. Try to spin the flywheel round when cold. If it goes easily then it's had it. If it is still poping as it goes through TDC then try it when hot this is when you'll have no compression and when it'll show most.

Read the post again. He didn't say 10-12 gallons, he said 10-12 tanks of fuel. It's called reading comprehension.

Also, don't forget to factor in the Bernoulli effect. =) I know it is for larger scale applications, but it does hold true for model engines as well.

Yeah and soon we'll begin to start using wind tunnels and manometers to check our aerodynamics. That'll be $15.

Ok i will richen it up, but do you think i should mess with the idle screw? Should i make it a little bigger so it would idle at a higher rpm? thanks

I've been told to never mess with the Idle set screw. Maybe I shouldn't listen to my 3 year old.....

Took me five minutes but i finally got that, thought someone had leant on the keyboard for a minute. Still the pricing for words??? I hope they don't start charging my car costs me enough let alone paying to communicate and whats the burnoulli effect apart from when you leave the pasta on for long (i'm sure oulli must be a pasta)

woah definetely not always mess with the idle screw, til the wheels spin in the air but not on the ground then either watch it take off at a speed so fast it finishes before it started or enjoy the donuts (or doughnuts, i'm spending too much time on US forums)

HAHAHA here...

Bernoulli effect
n.
The phenomenon of internal pressure reduction with increased stream velocity in a fluid.

[After Bernoulli, Daniel.]

Main Entry: Ber·noul·li effect
Pronunciation: b&r-"nü-lE-, ber-"nü-E-, "ber-"nü-"(y)E-
Function: noun
: the change in pressure observed in a fluid stream in accordance with Bernoulli's principle
Ber·noul·li /b&r-'nü-lE, ber-'nü-E, "ber-'nü-"(y)E,/ Daniel (1700–1782), Swiss mathematician and physicist. Bernoulli came from an illustrious family that produced eight outstanding mathematicians in three generations. In 1724 he demonstrated his own mathematical ability by producing a treatise on differential equations and the physics of flowing water. In 1738 he published his great work, Hydrodynamica. The work examined the basic properties of fluid flow, particularly density, pressure, and velocity. Bernoulli stated the fundamental relationships between these properties, set forth the principle now known as Bernoulli's principle, and established the basis for the kinetic theory of gases and heat. A scientist of catholic interests, he did research on such diverse subjects as astronomy, the properties of vibrating and rotating bodies, gravity, magnetism, tides and ocean currents, and probability theory.

OK the fact that you know where to find a short biography of 'Mr Bernoulli' is actually quite strange and almost very sad

Now who's sad?

OK can we get back to the point.

Turning the Idle screw in so the wheels spin on the box but not on the ground is BAD. You are riding the clutch, NOT GOOD. Wind the screw in till the wheels spin then back it off 1/4 turn so they stop and you have a good tick over. Look down the intake and there should be a 1mm ish gap. If it's any bigger your too rich, smaller your running lean (also a sign of an air leak), Also I bet you have no smoke when idling, but loads when going fast. Let us know if our suspisions are correct.
