I own a xterminator deluxe and really like it. All I have done is upgrade the servo's. My advice to you is to buy what you want because most people's opinions are bias to what they own or like. mike

some people base their advice on what they own because they are of the mind set " thats what i got so that must be the best"! this isn't always the case as we well know!
i don't own a Hyper but i've often said its a good value car thats pretty durable with a good spares supply & have often recommended it to people just starting out in this hobby
sometimes though you might want to take advice from the people who actually own the cars in question as who better to give you an Accurate report on a certain vehicles strengths & weaknesses
all you gotta do is read the posts & see if someone is being subjective or just banging out company propaganda for their particular brand!
all the top cars from the top manufacturers are more than capable for anything any of us will ask them to do on the race track
all you gotta do now is choose?

my advice- go to your local track & see what everybody else is running ( especially the top boys) and see which car is best supported there. that way you can easily get spares when you break & set up advice when you need it

If you break it in by heat cycling it about one quart and you will be ready to go. mike

It would be cheaper in the long run to buy a gallon of fuel as well as a couple glow plugs.

Sure you can! Just make sure your receiver box is well insulated and you clean off the mud after you're done. If mud settles on your car overnight, you could face oxidation reduction.

Yes they are identical appart from the engine and paint job.
rex gets a force 21 4 port and the xtm gets the 247 motor.

Thats what we've been saying. YThe rex is an exceptionally weak design, time consuming to repair, really needs those Alloy parts and a lot thicker Chassis plate. I would not even place it in my top 10 of current buggies.

i have the delux version..it rips with a 18t CB
it' bash fine, i havn't broke anything yet.
i don't launch it like my savage thou.

havn't figure the best setting for the CB yet..
they be getting chew

you'll need new tires faster than fast on any buggies
if you run it on pavement.

i choose it mainly becuase my lhs is an xtm distributor
and don't stock the competitions. ain't nothing like
waitng for the brown dude.

IMO..all nitro r/c cars (eractor sets) are POS..they all break..
and have short comings in one form or another
you can dump thousands and thousand easiley.
as you get into the hobbie more you'll understand better.
a .247 with 29000 rpm is not going be faster than
a ported .21 @ 35000..with the same gearing.
but i would slapp a .247 into a brick rather than a ported .21

the best buy for my money was the rc10gt plus...
some would say i should have gotten the losi

thanls for your in put left nut.... here i can sum up the reasons im getting the X-T

1. My Lhs Stocks it and its part

2. its in my budget

3. i was impressed by the videos i watched of the stock X-T doing jumps....

it seems as though the people who own an X-T love it and recommend it.. yet the people who dont own one tell me its crap [X(]

heres a few more questions.

1. when you break a part on the X-T do you have to go to aluminum or do they have plasctic parts

2. How fast does the Stock X-T go??

I owned one. It's no where near as durable or racable as the H7.

Im pretty new to Nitro Buggies and I just purchased the X-Terminator Deluxe which is the same as the X-Term. but it has a few extra upgrades. Anyway, I have been driving it pretty hard and So far I have run it into a curb going full speed and cracked an A-arm no big deal $10 bucks for a new pair. I have also bent the shock tower another ten bucks, but I was running it pretty hard. Also my friend has the same car and he loves it. He ran his into a concrete post and just bent the Shock tower a bit. not too much damage. all these accidents happened going close to full throttle. I think the X-Term is a good buggy!! For the Price, I am very pleased.
Hope This Helps
