I was thinking since alot of buggy are converted to truggy's, do you think any of the companies will make it possible to buy a kit that will let you assemble the kit to be a truggy or buggy. Just a thought, i have two ofna's and one kyosho that i would like to convert into truggies..

Considering the cost (profit margin) involved in factory conversions, it would be a very expensive kit. $700 for a MBX5 prospec + $260 for the conversion would be cost prohibitive to the consumer...$900-$1000 for a dual purpose roller[X(].
I'm holding out for a factory truggy that will be sold as a true pro level kit, unassembled with all the upgrade parts included. The Jammin ST looks to be a contender, as does the Mayhem truggy...too bad they are marketed as RTR only.
As a side note...the conversion kits dont offer the durability and handling of the long arm truggies like the Hot Bodies,Jammin ,or Mayhem.
The longer suspension arms hold up better than extended stub axles, and the articulation of the longer arms gives these truggies the ability to stay shiny side up in situations that would have any other vehicle on its lid.[8D]

The problem is a truck and buggy kit thing would lost the companies a lot of money as instead of bying 2 kits your bying 1. You could say that they could make it double the price but then they lose money as you buy less hopups and spares as your bying it for 1 car.

Problem is the manufacturers are well ahead of you[>:]
As stated above; the conversions are crap[:@]
True long arm truggies are so easy to manipulate that even rank amature drivers can lay down lap times that would put them in the hunt against buggies.
Check the RC Pro series results and you will see Matt Gosch(14 years old) kicking azz with a HB Lightning pro...Hara is owning the class with a HB Lightning pro. Gosch just signed with Jammin to run the truggy that is not yet avaliable to the public.
To me that says something about where the truggy class is headed.
Any questions look here [link=http://www.hotbodiesforum.com/forum/index.php?]Wazzupinthetruggyworld[/link]
