hi TaRo, the servos you get with the transmitter really arnt that good for 1/8 scale buggies. I have tried them myself on my buggy and the servo really struggles to turn the car. You could keep one of the servos to work the trottle, however you should think about purchasing a higher torque servo for the steering!

want to share waht i had in mind about engine tuning.. need to know anyone opinion
i want to try running the engine without carb restrictor(or use largest one) and set the thortle EPA down so i can't get WOT to control the power.
will i get the same fuel mileage with..
running smaller restrictor with WOT avaiable.
how about the performance, engine temperature, etc.. which one you choose

I have only been able to get 2 tanks thru it at the track. Time scheduling problems, not RC buggy problems. So far, so good. No bad habits noted and thats starting out with the factory setup. Figure it will only get better from here.

Hi TaRo have a look at the airtronics servos here http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...P?&C=MAD&V=AIR . Personally i would go for hitech servos just because they are much cheaper and still offer good performance, have a look at them here http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...P?&C=MAD&V=HRC

I'm not too sure, i havn't even got the buggy yet, im waiting to sell some other rc cars then im gonna get one from RcMart. However i have read on one of the forums that you can use a pullstart you just need to get taller engine mounts which u will have to buy seperately!

The Hyper 8 is a Pro Kit, it's not designed for pullstarts, starter box only.
Engines with back plates run a heck of alot more efficient than the pull/roto start engines. You will notice a big difference.

How about a OFNA HOBAO H-2118 Hyper 21 Pro Engine 8 Port w/Boost.
http://cgi.ebay.com/OFNA-HOBAO-H-211...QQcmdZViewItem
Why does the engine say boost? What is boost?

From: Dead Center,
I havent yet tore into the buggy after last nites race, just needs cleaning (all but the engine, I do it asap). Finished 3-4-5 in qualifying rounds and 5th over all. Not bad, only 4th race in a buggy.
Ok, now that Ive patted my self on the back, I noticed the front wheels have a bit of slop in them. The servo isnt moven, just the front end (wheels and all, left a bit and right a bit). Im hopen a screw, nut what ever came lose and it just needs tightened up.
What should I be looking for to help fix this? Thanks again.

Nascardad24, I had to reshim all the axles to get rid of slack. That may be what you are feeling. I also noticed that after about the first 20 minutes of running that some slop developed in the front arms at the inside pins. Not much, and after about 45 minutes more running it does not seem to be any worse, maybe just everything settling in place.
Had been running it mostly on a dry track but tonight it got a good watering just before the third heat. Caught me a little off gaurd, I must have turned into every pipe on the first lap,
plus I have rolled it a time or two figuring out just what kind of corner speed it would carry. So far, still pleased. Handles well enuff that no one was able to use it for a soccer ball.
Not going to do any adjusting for the next 4 or 5 tanks so I can figure if anything thats needed is me or the buggy.

nascardad24 , Check the screws that go through the ball studs on the servo saver and the horn on the servo itself. Mine seem to loosen a lot making the front end have some play. Both have loosened from time to time. Ron
