Flipeter, Enjoy it man. When you get a good baseline setup on her (I.e. one that fits your driving style and local tracks), you'll probably be amazed at how nimble but stable she is!
LOL. I think your pipe is some sort of mutant! Looks like an elephant trunk, or something worse hangin off that buggy!
I've said in the past that Hyper 8/8.5s are 'chick magnets' jokingly to people who were considering owning one, but now it doesn't seems more like the truth!

will the king headz extended engine mount for the H8 work in the H8.5?

I do not know for fact but I do not see why it would not. I know the 8.5 comes stock with the optimal extended mounts you could get for the 8.

OK it is the one that is race legal but RTR. Now let me ask does it come with all the carbon fiber, CNC machined billet shock towers, CNC machined chassis (or does it have stamped chassis?) and so on. I am thinking if it were like the RTR with the 28 it would be cheaper to just buy a new Pro kit then up grade.

RE: Official Hyper 8 Thread
You probably would be cheaper just to buy a whole new 8.5 Pro kit. I am working on up grading my Hyper 8 Pro to a 8.5 by buying things off ebay but only if I can get them at a real good price. I bided on about 20, 8.5 chassis till I got one at the price I was willing to pay $33. I still have a few things I need but have plenty of time to bid and get them at the price I am willing to pay, as it will be a couple more months before I tear it down to get ready for next year racing session.

Cannot say as I have not run one yet but from what others say I would think so. I just received mine in the mail yesterday that I paid $33 for.

Will,
The FR2 Chassis is worth putting on your H8. It greatly improves the handling of the buggy.
zjatorad,
The H8 KingHeadz mount should work for the 8.5. The engine mounting holes are the same dimensions. You may have to drill a hole for the front of the mount (Extension piece), but it will probably be identical to the way it fits your H8...

RE: Official Hyper 8 Thread
thanks for the info rabid.
46u, If I keep the Hyper 8 and upgrade to Hyper 8.5, it will cost me around 200 bucks for everything. Ill get the 8.5 for $370.00. If I sell the H8 ill maybe get 200 of out it and just get 170 and I get a brand new Hyper, so to be honest, I don't really see the point in upgrading, why not just get the whole thing and New! hehe

RE: Official Hyper 8 Thread
I was wondering if someone could help me out..
I have a RP c6 on the way, and I need a new flywheel and clutch, springs and cluthc bell.
Could someone tell me if I would be better with a 4-shoe set up and intall 2-soft and 2-hord springs or just stick to 3 shoe blue ofna alum.?
Also, do Acer ceramic bearings hold up better in the clutch bell than a normal set do?
Anyone had experience?
I am a blipper more than smooth but do both, as I have not run my H8 in quite a while.... So I jsut want a good dependable clutch set up, which is why I thought about acer ceramics in the clutch......
The track will be hard with loose dirt on top....
Any help would be appreciated...
Justin

What I would do is go to ebay and try to buy the whole set up for the Hyper 8.5. The 8.5 comes with a lighten flywheel and the new clutch shoes look really good. Some sellers piecing out the Hyper 8.5 kits have the whole set up.
