this might be off topic, but how do you tell if ur clutch shoes are worn out and when they need replaced?

I check the shoes and bearings about every 1/2 gallon of so, and if everything looks fine I'll scuff and clean the shoes, clutch bell and add a little oil to the bearings. I change the shoes usually about 2 gallons, there pretty cheap!

i blew out my back left shock, i looked and there was oil on the bottom. =[ should i just buy a whole new shock? i was runnin the stock with stock oil. anyway i also was wonderin what shocks other people run on their hyper 7's and what oil weight they use? what works the best in evry ones opinions? thanks

no just buy a shock rebuild kit. i run 60 in the front and 40 in the rear. it helps calm down he steering a lot.

Check the shock shaft also, it could be bent and need to be replaced.
I run 45frt and 40rr.

alright. where can i get one of those? ive never done or repaired shocks before so im a noob at the whole thing...anyway. how would i do it? ill go to the lhs tommorow n get soem stuff.

White springs, 25 wt front, 30wt back. Stock oil is thicker than that, which may be why it blew out. There's also a trick involving drilling the pistons.

where can i get the repair kit? thanks for all the info though. 60 in the front 40 in the rear? what is the the wieght of the stock shock oil in it?

i really dont know. i know the guy that works at my lhs that has run the hyper 7 forever gave me my fluid setup. 60wt in the front 40 wt in the rear. he runs 3-3-5 in his diffs front to rear and i run 3-5-5

Hi everone....well if it will help any ....in my 7 I run ...5-7-3..in my diff's and 60 in the front shocks and 55 in the rear it runs very well on the med. size tracks. and as for the engine I run a modded hyper 21 8 port....in alot of club racing they won't let you run big blocks...don't get my wrong there great for bashing..."S"...lots of speed[8D]

no, im not sure gut the best shock tower ive yet to see are the ones sold in the yannick upgrade kit. you can get just the shock towers on ebay at the dinball store.

Hey Rs43EVOman, I like the Yannick towers. I am having trouble finding the front sway bar. Any ideas where to find that for the Hyper 7?

does it matter what brand of shock oil i get? so, if my chock is leaking, all i have to do is but the repair kit and replace those little rubber o ring things and it wont leak? hmmmm. anyway, does it matter what brand? imt rying to get it from towers but i dotn see any when i search fro it. its just diff. fluid

All the shock oil's for companies are all slightly different. Here's an excellant page on what they all equal, its very helpful site.

yeah the yannck towers are great, got them from the dinball Ebay store. And as far as front swaybars, heres the link. There are 2 different thickness for different tuning options.

Well, i rember seeing them and their part number on the PCR site. and there was alsways a link to it under the OFNA.com links page, but the link isnt there anymore. Does OFNA not have association with Paul Coleman anymore?? You should really try calling OFNA and getting the part #, they probably wont be able to sell voer the phone, but if youve got the part number they can be found preatty easily.
