WOW....took my hyepr 7 buggy to the track and it screams. it was crazy, i hit this jump...landed sideways and another racer smashed into me and my reviever battery flew out....it took off downt he straitaway.....throttle fully open and smashed rigth into the barrier. (theer is a pond about 100 ft from the track...luckly the barrier stopped it.) but i must admit the hyper 7 is a real nice buggy to race with. it held its own. =p anyway, i need a knew steering servo....im lookin for one no more than 50...i need speed and torque. if anyone knows please let me know. =]
oh what tires would i need to race with for a track? crimefighters?

Crime fighters, bowties, hobao angle spikes. there are loads and which one is best depends on the conditions.
Those are good starting points though.

Townsley. If you can possibly afford it I recommend spending as much as possible on your steering servo. I use a sanwa/airtronics 94359Z which is superb. All the other big manufacturers make a top end servo and I'm sure they're as good too.
If you really must keep the cost down then look at the towerpro 955's and bluebirds.
Somewhere in the middle falls the Hitec 945MG but I can't vouch for any of these as I haven't tried them.

Mark Pyke. The low speed needle controls the mixture at and just above idle, after that the high speed needle takes over.
Obviously to have a great tune both must be set for good acceleration and good mid-top speed running.

www.amainhobbies.com Find the Thunder Tiger PRO starter box, it's silver, it has a single GIGANTIC motor, and will turn the strongest of engines comfortably. It's not silly money either, Many say it's the best starter box there is. When I am in the market for another myself, I will get this, in a heartbeat. Don't be fooled by others with 2x540 motors, they are NOT stronger, this single 775 motor is just mental. Takes two sticks or a gell cell, has charge leads, is 90% preassembled. It's the mutts nuts, honestly.

Don't forget you'll need a backplate for your engine.

2 x 7.2v stick pack batteries, like the standard main batteries that leccy cars use. Sorry, I should have been clearer.

Anyone know if a broken exhaust seal can cause engine to stall on throttle? I have a a H7 sport with .28 mach, was going fine for a bout 20mins then started to stall on about 1/4 throttle or more. Noticed one of the seals from back of the pipe that connects to the engine was melted.

Hi,

I have just purchased a Hyper 7 and being a bit of a horse power junkie, i was wondering how much nitro percentage i can run in the tank and how thick of a gasket i can use before things go wrong.

Is there a chart that gives people an idea on how big of a gasket to use with each percent of nitro?

Thanks for your help.

If your talking about head button gaskets, then I would say the engine should have the compression to run up to 30%. Most people run between 20%-30%.

I Can't really speak on the mach .28 but it is more likely to be a marketing ploy aimed at people that want big engines. In all reality it will probably give a little more bottom end power, no increase in top speed and an increase in fuel consumption.
Buy the .21 engined one, and save the money towards your next engine which you can make a good racing .21 which will be a lot faster than any RTR engine.
Thats my advice.
BTW the hyper .21 4 port is not a bad engine as RTRs go anyway.
