Got my Violator yesterday. Now I need a pack charger and a starter box. What box do you recommend?

For a pack charger just make sure it will support your style of pack (Nicd, NiMH, Lipo, etc).

Hello,

My 9.5/Ravager spur gear for the center diff is slowly wearing off, I will be needing a replacement soon, however, the spur gear only cost a lot of money, what other diff spur can I use (ie. Hyper 7/8/8.5, Kyosho 777 & etc.) and I wanted to reuse my diff case and gears. How about a new center diff assembly for other ofna models. Need your inputs here.

Thanks

False... The Ultras and the Violator share no common parts. The Violator is part of the Ofna (Hong Nor) 9.5 series which is the 9.5, the Ravager, the Violator, and the Mutilator truggy.

The center diff mount from the Jammin can be swapped out with the 9.5 series, but i do not know if the spacing between the mounts is the same.

If you could measure the distance between the mounting screws (front to back) i could measure my Jammin and see if the entire center diff could be used.

The measurement of the diff mounting screws are 39 mm. center-to-center. Let me know if your Jammin have the same measurement.

Nope, the Jammin center diff is 35mm center to center....So even though the actual mounts are the same, the diffs apparently are different sizes.

I just got mine 2 day's ago and love it! Just upgraded the Steering servo today and can't wait to let it loose on our 1 acre track this weekend. Wonder what it will be like on the 10ft jump!

Hi I am new to this forum. I have a 9.5 violator w/ force 32. I am having trouble getting it tuned. First thing I need to know is where do you take the engine temperature if using an infrared temp gun. Because I get many readings, ranging from 195 on top of heat sink to 260 on the polished sides around the top of the glow plug. Second I can get plenty of blue smoke, but when I get good throttle response, by leaning out the low needle, the temp goes up to nearly 300 ( again at the polished part around the plug). When things are rich on both the low and the high to keep temp down, it dies after idling for any amount of time. If someone could give me some advice it would be much appreciated.

You use the dogbones/universals off of the Ravager.

This is what happens when you are going about 35 and you steer to avoid your son's monster truck and hit a curb[&o]
