My first throttle servo last 5 tanks (RTR 8ight). So I went back to my LHS and got a jr570, 590 whatever it is. HALF A TANK later the throttle is out. Its so weak that it will barely move even pushing it with my finger. Is there something in the reciever burning them up or could it be a coincedence I got 2 bad servos in a row?? Has anyone else had this issue?
Thanks
Dave
Thanks

i believe that you have to space the radio tray so the servos dont hit when the chassis flexes. check losi website there is an addendum (spelling?) to the manual. there is also an o ring kit they have been using. ive also heard people using radio tray stiffners to get a littler more space and create more rigidity in the chassis. check neo buggy forum or truggyracer. ton of info on those forums from people who know a lot more than i do.

It's mainly an issue with throttle linkage setup. Have you read through the Losi 8 thread?
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_4762247/tm.htm
I read every page of that thread and read through the parts about the throttle multiple times. Search for "throttle" in there. There's photos and everything on how set it up correctly.
Losi has also released an addendum concerning throttle setup.

Keep in mind that this setup requires very little throttle movement to engage the brakes, so set your EPA for the brakes LOW. Mine is only set at about 30 at the most. And certainly make sure your servo isn't trying to pull the carb open past it's stopping point as well.

Call Horizon, they will send you a new servo, it is the same poppy stock one, but a back is always nice. The EPAs and the adendum are inportant, did your car not come wtih the additional paperwork on how to setup up the servos?

This is what you need:
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_47...32/key_/tm.htm
Scroll down until you see the pics and follow them. Servo's burning out are 100% user setup error. Take your time, follow those instructions and also the Losi addendum and you will be fine...setting this up correctly (the first time) will take quite a while...I used the above link as the addendum was not out yet when I built mine...I bet I was fiddling with it for 2 hours before I was happy with it....5 gallons later, and I have not had a single servo issue (nor has anyone else that i helped set up)
