Wow, now that's a clutch failure! Looks like it got really hot in there and broke through the bell. My clutch spring just went out. I only knew it because the car would only start and run with the wheels in the air. I pulled the bell and saw the spring fall out. The shoes look okay, as does the bell.
Andy, where did you get those tires and wheels from? I would like to know what other cars use this size hex wheel. I want some tires that will last on the street. The only other terrain here in Florida is sand. I will even entertain the foam tires you mention.
The original Smartech tires I have are lacking nubs, especially the front tires! Smooth as baby bottom.
Thanks!
Mark

hehe mark, before i went out with it, it already had some clutch bell missing. It happened when i was going full speed and about to do a jump, when about 10cms away from the jump it stoped :P And it was like that

all hpi touring car wheels will fit same as the 2.2 truck tires. I had a set on my smart tech but it was undergeared for the massive increase in tire size. if it has a hex and its 1/10th scale she will fit, traxxas rims fit as well.

hey, thanks for that, Banx!
I was sure there would be at least one make that shared the same wheels...
I figured the large tires would be much for the current gearing... I bet the top end would be unbelievable, if there is enough horsepower to get it up to speed... You would need some pretty large transmission gears to get the right ratio for balanced power! (or very small driven gears! lol)

Missing engine due to clutch being on order: Broken front bumper and rear wing were replaced by parts taken from cheapo RC cars out of my boys' closet. Had to make due somehow! Heh heh
Rear wing is actually quite a bit stronger than stock.

heheh banx look up at my clutch
Someone (I think chocy) has got a different clutch with 3 shoes. Or it might be that hes got a 2 shoe clutch but they are made from some material that lasts longer than plastic and do less damage to the clutch bell that a aluminium clutch does.
Ryan.

there is a copy floating around of the manual you need, i can post it up if you want, but its not much better than the one you have
I dont disagree with the comments you made earlier about the cars being of a low standard, but we are all in the same boat and i would have had huge problems with my car parts ect, if it wasnt for the help provided on this forum
