The most popular power plants are the HPI T-15 Nitro Star, or the O.S. .18 CV-RX. I prefer the O.S. It's a beast!

layitlow, did you break it in? because maybe thats why you threw the rod. your suppose to run about 10 tanks through it at low rpms before you go fast

ouch! my car started revving uncontrollably, and doing fast circles. i grabbed it, and stuck my hand under the body to pinch the fuel line. i accidentally stuck my thumb into the fly wheel. it tore a huge gash in it, and the nail. pain[&o]

If you want to lube your diffs you need to take it off the chassis and either take it apart or try to fill in the hole under it. I think the diff case is pretty sealed and packed with grease from factory so i dont think its necessary to lube them. i Have huge problems with the driving gear in the diff case.. I get like 1 or 2 running hours before they`re totally worn down.. think theyre made of cast aluminium.. has no strength at all..

Docphysics: you got a nitro evader right? do you think it`s possible to transplant a complete evader rear diff onto a winner sport? I really need to find something more reliable as im sick and tired of replacing the driving gear.

wienersport, why do you keep wearing out driving gears? did you put a bigger motor in it? maybe you can pay a machinist to cut you some gears. i am taking a machinist class, but i haven't learned how to cut gears yet.

Wiener - The evader diff won't work. It uses a slipper clutch and spur gear to directly drive the diff, where as in the smartechs the rear diff is driven by the transmission out drive. So I really don't see how you could make it work.

ok. thanx! guess i will have to try to find some parts that may fit inside the gear box. yeah the bigger engine isnt kind to the diff gears. at high speeds when hitting small bumps it almost wheelies. its a blast as long as it lasts
