The only things I did was to buy some electrical contact cleaner, take the servos and reciever apart, and spray out all the water. I also hit the clutchs and various other areas. Took the engine apart and wnet thru that. Then used some Starrett M1 spary and lubed up the steel parts and such.

While i haven't had anything bad yet, my friend has. A couple weeks ago we were driving on a road that had a creek on the side. His car has the battery pack taped (dont ask me why) onto the rear shock tower where the on/off switch was. He took a hard turn and the batterys swung and flipped it off so he had no control and it went full speed into a creek. Pretty funny, i couldn't stop lauging at his misfourtune.

i had my street force wide open and my radio glitched and it hit a curb and did two complete back flips probably about 5 feet in the air and landed on all fours. nothing broke just a scatched up chasi.

The closest I've come to any danger.. is getting some totally controlled OVERSTEER on an onramp to an interstate in my car ..A 94' Ford Taurus..lol I could swear I was almost drifting for about 2-3 seconds..That place is perfect.. I try to do it every time I pass that ramp!

full speed across schoolyard, bouncing over little mounds of grass, the battery pack in my old nitrohawk fell out and unplugged at full throttle...talk about scary...jumped the curb and ran about 1/4 mile down the highway until it hit curb and flipped...i ran all the way to get it and it was revving about 30,000 rpm,s upside down,both leftside suspension arms were toast, but the motor ran afterwards...that is so scary when ur truck is full throttle with no control...have learned lots since then...about 10 yrs ago.

hey guys. im a new member here, and i just crashed my new hpi rc. there i was just finishing the break in, and i put the radio down for a little while to go get my rc, and my son was playing with the radio, i thought to myself, no biggie, he's 1 1/2 years old. so i got back and pickup the radio. my car was finished breaking in. so i started the car, pickup the radio. didn't go really far, then when my car was like about 10 feet away, it just went crazy and out to the street, hit a curb, and you know what happens next. turns out that my son loosend the antena.

Im a newwbie to the hobby and i have already had a bad crash. I had just gotten my first nitro car and i took it to my friends house.(He has been in this hobby longer then me and i wanted advice) So i got there late and we broke it in it was to dark to drive it so we waited till morning. We were goin up and down the street trying to get full throtl. we went to a strataway and the car went about 45-50mph into a manhole cover. The car went 4 feet in the air and did 1 1/2 fron frontflips landed upside down(unfourtunatly i didn't have a body on) it rolled oover and landed right side up. luckely when it landed it hit a protection bar infront of the engine and only the body clip broke(only needed some CA glue)

First week I had my car, I took it over to a friends house, and was running it up and own the street. Finally he said "So, how fast can it go??" So, courious myself, I ran it all the way down the street, pulled on the throttle 110%....

I was about half way down the street, 2nd gear roaring at 30K RPM's, when all of the Sudden I hear from behind me "I GOOOOOOT ITTTTTT!".. The neighborhood handicap kid ran into the street towards it, Panicing as to not take one of his legs out from the impact, I hit the breaks and turned the wheel hard left to get it into a patch of grass off to the side... Well, that cuased it to loose control and was spinning out on the dusty road... when it finally came to a stop in the storm drain 2 wheels in, 2 wheels off... [This is in Florida, where they drains are big enough to suck small kids in]

Thank god for 4-wheel drive... I tapped the gas, and the frontwheels pulled the bad boy to safty...

Was I mad? I guess but How do you yell at a hadicap kid???
