Default receiver problem

I am having problems with my jr receivers. I have gone through 2 new receivers in my rc10gt. Can this be from vibration? Should they be wrapped in foam or placed in a certain way? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

It may be the crystals. That could be damaged by ???

I mount mine in a balloon (old trick) to keep the dust, dirt and water out, and I also use foam tape to take up some of the vibration.

I use a Futaba radio.

I never mount mine in anything but a plastic bag. I never use a balloon because if you don't change the balloon after a while it sticks to the reciever or battery and will just make a mess. I have jumped my truck off of my roof and had direct hits to the reciever and it still keeps on ticken. Steering servos on the other hand......

Default receiver problem

Well I mount my Jr reciever in the harness that Associated supplies and I use thick 2-way tape. This is my second reciever now and im not about to spend $50 for a reciever for everytime I play with it. I plan to race it this year and I don't wanna look like a clown with my RC10 running away on me. Any help would be greatly apreciated!

Get the Trinity receiver box that is made for the GT. You can put insulating tape in it to keep down vibration and it seals so you won't have to worry about getting fuel, dust, dirt, water, etc. on it! Getting fuel on it might be your problem. In any event this should definitely help! I haven't had any problems with my receiver and it has been in the sealed box right out of the box! Which I use a Futaba 3PDF. I haven't heard too many good JR stories! Hope I helped you and good luck racing!
