Hey, i need some of your views on the dynamite twin peak charger, it seems that every battery i charge with it has a shorter over all life, and isnt as powerfull as it should be. is it me or is it the charger? I do let the batteries cool down for about 20 minutes when they are hot, but i do not fully discharge them. is that a problem?
and if the charger isnt good, what cahrgers do you recomend that can charge two batts at once?
Thanks
and i just bought new batteries that cost me a pretty penny, and if its the cahrger, i dont wanna use them with it.

Not familiar with that charger but are you sure your not setting the charging amps too high when you charge them. That will give you a false peak charge on that battery.

I have this same charger, my batteries seem fine, if they don't seem as strong for some reason then charge them one at a time on the 1.5 amp side and let them get a really good slow charge. Mine work fine, the only problem i have is sometimes i get false charges fast, so i just swap sides with them and it seems fine or i'll slow peak charge them. My fan acts up sometimes but i just smack the crap out of the charger and it works fine.

I'm not the worlds greatest battery expert, but I understand that when charging you have two options, a high amp charge to encourage the battery to deliver a high amp output (with a small sacrifice in duration), or a low amp charge, to focus on duration at the expense of 'punch'. That's what I thought anyway, but hey, I'm a nitro man...

Not all batteries are the same. 2/3 A NiMh cells - typically found in RX packs - have a '1 C' charge rating. Or, they are rated to be safely charged at 1 amp per 1000mah rating of the cell. So, if there were a 2000mah rx pack it could safely be charged at 2 amps. Charging it at 4 amps could kill a cell. Sub C cells (stick pack) however, can usually be charged at '2C'. For instance a 4000mah NiMh stick pack could be charged at 8 amps.
If you are charging you rx pack at 4 amps, you can expect performance to decrease.

ohh, ok, thanks guys. but i think my question is, since the cahrger i have doesnt have a selectable amp rate and it can only charge at 4 amps. Is cahrging at 4 amps bad?
