RE: NO power on firestorm 10t
do you have power to the wheels? or no power at all? When you turn the car on does the esc flash red then beep and go green? let us know what happens so we can troubleshoot...oh and their is a firestorm thread in the offroad buggy forum...

so when you have the radio on and you turn the car on does the esc light up? it should be green if its working red if its not getting a signal.....Check your crystals on your rx and tx check the wiring to and from the rx.....make sure the antena wire is not broken.

sounds like your battery.....even with the radio not on when you turn the car on the esc will show a red light telling you that the radio is not on...take the battery pack out and test it with a volt meter or try a different one...check the connector on the pack and on the esc.

RE: NO power on firestorm 10t
I still have the stock esc out of my 10t and i hooked up a battery pack to it with no radio turned on and it flash's green, red, green ,red then when you turn the radio on it beeps and stays green. So if you are getting no lights at all on your esc when you turn your car on it sounds like the battery pack.....let us know what you find.

when i start the car the radio dosent pick up the car, so the car will start running and start going on its own, it will not pick up anything from the remote control.

Firestorm, your receiver pack.....where do you have it connected in the receiver? Try conecting the receiver battery directly to the receiver itself. Don't use the switch. When you do, you should here the servos jump a little, then turn on your transmitter and see what happens. If you hook a fully charged battery directly to the receiver and it still isn't getting power, then you probably blew the receiver. Did it get wet at any time?

RE: NO power on firestorm 10t
that was going to be my suggestion as well, those switches on the nitro's arent exactly reliable and they take a beating. could be wires in the battery pack, the switch, or the reciever, the wheels and throttle should right itself as soon as there is power...good luck. let us know whats going on

RE: NO power on firestorm 10t
if your still running stock radio and reciever you might as well spend some coin and get a new radio and reciever about 100.00-300.00....some of the recievers are waterproof and they tell you that are on the specs so just be on the look out. With nitro the recievers dont run as hot as electric, so you can waterproof yourself with covers and/or some good o' rigging, i made one out of lexan and foam

If you have a local hobby shop around most will test you receiver for you as long as they know what they are doing. As long as their main business is RC related, but if not then you might as well purchase a new system. Also, have you put a volt meter on the battery connector to verify the correct voltage. You just need to make sure. Unfortunately you don't have a lot of options. You could ask someone you know that is into RC to test it for you. It just depends on how much they are into RC is all. If they are like myself, I have about 12 different AM and 6 FM radio systems just sitting around. After about 20+ years, you kind of aquire some extras.
I primarily deal with Tower, NitroHouse & Horizon Hobbies. I have no real LHS around me. If I travel about 15 miles I can find one, but I have to need something really bad to have to go to them.
