Definitely change those rear rims your tires shouldn't stick out that much whats your wheel offset in the rear? Maybe its just your rims they look really deep. To start drifting you just need some drift tires go with some from here their cheap and will last you at least a year http://www.raikoudrifttires.com/ it looks like you will be primarily driving on really rough asphalt go with the drift tires that have either one ring in them or two or you could get the set of three with all three types of tires they offer that would be your best bet so you could try out the feel of which you prefer

Yah, dude, looks like you're running 9MM offset Meisters in the rear and 3MM offset TE 37's up front. Try to match them, either all TE37's or all Meisters.Go 6MM offset in the rear.

Raikou tires. You'll be pleasantly surprised how well they work. My advice? Get the combo pack, and an order of DXPE's. That will round out tires for just about any surface you will be likely to run on. That also means you will have to invest in more rim sets, which is cool, because if and when you get another drifter (they're like Lays potato chips, you can't have just one), you'll already have rim sets for that one, too!

Yah, dude! If that concrete is as smooth as it looks, the Raikous will work great! I think DXPE's will be all you need.

The TE37's and Meisters are all I run, as well (of course, I match em')!

Check these out:

These are my own. The tires are Raikou DXPE's. They are very low profile, as you will see.

Yah, I rushed the first GTR, it came out O.K., but it had imperfections in the plastic, so I got this body, and just took my time. The painting actually took only a day, but the masking took about 3.

You'll notice the wheels-3MM offset in front, 6MM in the rear. If the dimensions on your body are the same (and they look to be), you should end up w/ the same setup.

If you go Raikou, you'll have to lower your body a bit, so it looks right, because the Raikous are very low profile, and will make your wheel wells seem big, in comparison to the wheels.

Thanks for the advice! My next shell is going to be a 350z or a porsche though. First mod is gonna be aluminum driveshaft and softer springs

Good choices!

I'm soft on American Muscle, so that's why you saw only Mustangs. If and when I can get my paws on a new Camaro body, I'll be doing that treatment on it, too. Have to do different five-star wheels, though.

Post pics when you get the car done!

Qucik question for those who know. When looking for rims and they say theres a 2mm, 4mm, 6mm off-sets that's just refering to the inside lip you'll get on the rim right? Not meaning that the rim will sickout further from the body right? Thanks, Joe

Also sorry for posting in the Thread but did think it would make sense to start another one for a simple ? like that.

jrad4real - if you are going to be sliding on that concrete go for Raikous new D68 tire, it is perfect for the size and surface, light throttle will get them spinning easily and in control going around bends.
