Drifting tires really depend on the driver. Personally I love the tires that the TT-01 came with. The Tamiya Medium Narrow Tire TA04 is my personal choice but this is not about me. What is your problem, to much grip or to slick? Changing your chamber angle and shocks could fix that so you don't have to buy new tires.

I'm sure i dont have the best set up but i'm trying to make due. I have a HPI Sprint but i think i might have too much power and not enough torque. I have the mamba max 7700 system on it and my gearing is: spur gear 93t and pinion is 17t. I was told that it would give me plenty of torque. Which it kinda has but the front tires dont grip well enough to throw the back end around. i was thinking the yokomos would be better because of the slight rubber edge they have. what do u think? I'm also going to try to mess with the camber on it that i haven't done yet. but thanks.

you need hpi Hard compund drift tires then, Theyll provide the same performance as a nitro car, as well as an electric with a BRUSHLESS System.

well with the Tamiya drift tires i got i found that after i wore them in and cambered them in a little in the back it started to drift a lot better. But still would love to give the yokomo's a try. It was cool though because after the rain stopped and it started to dry up a little it was mad fun drifting around. I got this turn right in front of the house that i fly around and the drift looks so nice. Makes me wish i had a video camera to show you guys. SWEET!!!!!

For the ultimate in control, the new low profile Yokomo DR-03's may be the ticket. But I know tons of people who run the DR-02 (Zero-One R) tires with BL power and will never go back to ABS or any other plastic tire again.

You said that after it rained you liked the way your car felt. That probaly means you have under steer problems. You will want to lower your car body, have you shocks soft, use a negitive chamber, front tires at toe-out, and a set of slick or super slick tires. The stock Tamiya is a 1/2 slick tire, best for control but you want a better slide right? If so You might have to give up some control, but if you liked drifting after a rain super slicks should sute you.

i agree with areohwhy, ther's a lot of drifters using a yokomo tire, espacially ZERO-ONE R.
just wana ask a question to DC-DK. is there any chance to chamber and toe-in/out with the tamiya tt01?

The DR-03's are pretty good. The rings are of the same material as the DR-02's, but since they are double-ringed, the extra rubber should allow for more control.

Don't even bother with the old double-ringed Zero-One's (DR-01). They're crap. The Zero-One R's (DR-02) are probably the best all-around tire/ring set they make, and the low-pro Zero-One's (DR-03) will most likely be the best compromise of control, longevity, and drift distance/angle.
