In RCU, threads get pushed down pretty quickly in the car forums because of the popularity. If you don't want to helpthe OP....then don't post ANYTHING!

hes been on here for 2 years. hes not that newb anymore.
when i need infos, i try to find them on my own before asking a question that is asked everyweek.
even if they get pushed quick, looking on page #2 or 3 isnt that hard.

RCU is a great forum but its drowned by A LOT of topics on the same subject.

Ha....you had to call me a hypicrite BEFORE you left the OP a reply. I don't know about the Evader/Castle setup....but I challenged a poster who almost ran off another OP cause I thought it was not right. I thought I was doingthe right thing but you chose to say otherwise and call me out......

I just got a Thunder AC680 from Hobbypartz and it's very nice for the price imo.
http://www.hobbypartz.com/73p-ac680-accharger.html

I ordered, but haven't received 2 Turnigy 2S 30C 5000mAh Lipo's from Hobbyking.

I'm not sure on your specific truck, but you'll want to make sure you have metal trans gears and I myself just today replaced all of my bushings with bearings.

The castle stuff likes LIPO's so yeah Id run them instead of NIMH'S.
Me, I use alot of Tekin, Novak and LRP stuff so im fine with nickel metal packs.
I have no cogging like others have experienced running nickel's with the castle esc's.
Because I know which ones to use with the packs I have.
Since I have no castle stuff Im better off with NIMH.

Read up on how to take care of your lipos and you should be ok.
You have to know alot of things before you change over.

i run venom 2s and 3s5000 mahbatteries and use the duratrax onyx 235charger with built in cell balancing. i have not had any problems with either and they sell for a resonable price. just make sure you do not exeed you motor and speed controllers limit with the batts.

huh?
how do you exceed the motor, and speec controller limits?
I run 30C 5200mah batteries on 35 ESC's no issues. The MAH rating and C rating are potential not what it will use. Theoretically you could have a 5000C 500000mah battery hooked to a 35A ESC/motor setup, and it will never pull over what the motor can use. Think of it like your real cars gas tank you fill it upto 10-15 gallons (or whatever capacity it is) and it drives for awhile the engine doesn't just take the whole tank at once.

Personally as for batteries measure your battery compartment and start from there. Lipos come in a variety of sizes and sometimes fitting one up to the battery compartment is a royal PITA. Then figure out how many continuous amps you will need (usually in the motors specs) and start shopping from there.

Chargers I love the turnigy accucell 6's I own 2, and made one of these http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/showthread.php?t=27554 to power it. (best 12V supply I've used in ages)
