Are you still having computer probs?

Good one dus, I got a few HPI dvds cheap and some of them are realy good.

Brushless all fitted up, lot of soldering to do, and fitted the traxxs plugs onto one of the 4600 battery packs.

It was dark but we had a quick go over the retail park, they have bright lights, what can I say apart from..........very fast.

Got a few pics to put on here.

Are you going to get the yoko?

Like I have said before dus, you are lucky to have another half who shares the same intrerest in rc cars.
Monster Beetles are awesome mate.

Can you send me links to the other two?
Glad you are getting it, want to see a plenty of pics as you go.

Only got it working tonight and just a quick test so will get some video of it over the weekend.

Will get some pics of the lads buggy, it's realy good and is better than a touring type car realy because you can drive it anywhere.

It was like a radio control car shop here last weekend

That's a brushless motor, that's what got me hooked after driving that....

Good luck with those, seen videos of the r/c motorbikes and they do look good.
What is the shell with the yellow back on the Team Magic auction?
Looks like you'll do well on that

Do you think nitros are just trouble or ok if you know how to use them?

What's the Big Brute like off road? we had a couple of off road cars but not as good I don't think.

You still keeping the Golden Arrow then

hi ian
the body on he left is a truck shell
from yokomo they are rare
but saying that there is one on the bay
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/yokomo-euro-tr...item1c198e5386
that would look awesome as a drift truck
(not to many of them around)

if you know what to do or how to use them
nitro cars are awesome but if you just run them like electric cars
and dont maintain them they will just become trouble and a money pit
like you may find with the rush

the big brute is a 2 wheel drive monster truck
but is not really any good off road

yes im still keeping the golden arrow
everytime i get it out of is box i find myself transported back to my childhood
(it still has that new smell to it)
and i think how cool the 80's were
and all the time i spent watching the off road buggies at the local rc track
is it me but didnt the 80's always seem to be sunny

You must have read our thoughts we were looking for LEDs.

That heatsink is ok but would prob just use a normal one on the motor...but we will see how hot it gets.

I'd be worried about using the Golden Arrow too.
Tamiya were king back then werent they, we were thinking about going to a place were there used to be a BMX track, would be awesome for the buggy.
Not been there for something like 5 years or more.

Will deffo get video of that.

The BMX track was built in about 1985, would be good to see if it's still there.

Need to get up early, hopefully vids tomorrow.

Were you happy with the outcome of your auctions dus?

Got the Yoko yet?

We had a few problems with the trial run so no videos.
The power of the 5.5t brushless motor was so much that we couldn't get power down, even with the 4x4.

So I locked the rear diff, it went well, did take a few pics while doing it, will put them on later.

Also had to glue the tyres as they just kept getting ripped off.

Would have got some video of the buggy but that played up to and needs the plug soldering up.

Would be cool getting a truck shell for the HSP seen a Australian type ute too, that would be different.

hi ian
the whole plan behind the auction was to get rid of some rc stuff
but it didnt go quite to plan
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWNX:IT
and im thinking of getting another one and also this
http://www.modelsport.co.uk/index.php?product_id=24521
(so shoot me now)

i wiil get the yoko next time we have a truck meet
as i told the guy to bring it then theres no rush for it

i thought you might have a few problems with is being so fast
you will have to start them off very slowly
couldnt you use some very grippy tyres like rally block
as they may give a bit of grip and if the car runs
so fast you might be able to drift with them

i cant believe you didnt get any videos

So you won the tank then but you got what you hoped for the others?

That Chevy shell looks awesome dus.

So the yoko is 200mm and not 190mm?

Our cars are 200mm.

Hoping that by locking the rear diff we will get the power down better, did use the Rally blocks, it's awesome fast, never thought it would have as much power as it does.
The programable speed controller has got 9 different start modes, so the power doesn't come on all at once but will have a play with that.
If it was a buggy or a monster truck you'd probably get the power down better, much bigger wheels etc.

So you will get the Chevy shell for the Yoko, deffo something a bit different that.

The buggy is Ansmann racing.
It's fast and drives over pretty much anything when used off road.
They are the road tyres.

a ford shelby gt 350 screaming around then changing gear

Those Shelby shells do look excellent.

Yoko drift truck = do it, do it.

The Yoko you said about was a 1/10th scale and looked pretty damn good dus.

Would like a Trans Am shell, they do have a few nice shells on American ebay and most will ship.

Do like nitro but electric are so easy to use, fix, and work on, would you agree with that?
