Default RE: Official Rustler Thread

i boght this truk on ebay for 110 here is the discription and the pic You are bidding on a BRAND NEW, NEVER RUN Traxxas Rustler 2 wheel drive electric stadium truck. This truck has been meticulously assembled and tuned by a mature adult to insure proper set up and operation. This truck is not the RTR version but was assembled by myself from the kit and made to be an RTR for another project, which I have no time for now. New Proton Speed motor, New Tower Hobbies System 3000 2 channel 75 mhz AM radio system and New Dura Trax Electoronic Speed Control. This is a great truck, just see the pics! If you use 'Buy It Now' I will even throw in two NiCd 1500 sport packs in good shape! Shipping will be a fixed 15.00 and I will offer cheaper shipping on multiple items won, so check my other RC auctions. I prefer pay pal, if you have negative or no feedback email before bidding or I will delete your bids, I am honest and prefer to deal with the same so no dead beat bidders. Email with any questions and bid with confidence. Thanks for looking and good luck! cant get the pic to work sorry

no, Wicked, Go with the XRS or an ESC by mtroniks, they have reverse disable. Motor, I'd go with the Owtlaw 2 or the Epic Bindary Pro STock Rebuildable. $28.99...

Just took the rusty out.. First test of the new esc. OMG it hauls. Same motor, same everything. I can't believe the difference. I almost ran my nitro into traffic, I was about a foot away from having little chunks of metal and plastic to play with, instead of an insanely fast car. I'm thinking about selling my rusty. I want to get a nicer nitro, or hop this one up. It definitely needs a new motor, I have a hard time keeping it running. Or if anyone has a suggestion! be my guest, I don't know squat about em. It starts hard, and likes to quit on me. I've been driving it a little more carefully, in return geeting a longer run. But it still wants to quit. Any help would be appreciated.
thanks,
Maddrums25

eh go with the xrs it doesnt need heatsinks, and the solder tabs are on the outside so no need to pull it apart to resolder later on

illl probably never go lower then a 15 turn motor but my ESC can only handle 15 turns so it works really hard. so it might get fryed... and when it does i want something that will run alittle cooler

I'm thinking about selling the rusty. I've been trying to trade it for a nitro rusty. But I haven't heard back from the guy, Oh well it has only been a day. He sounded interested so i'll wait a while. I haven't even tried it with the 12 turn yet, I'm not sure if I will. I like the nitros better. They seem to work better on my little track.

Looks good wicked, the masking tapes gotta go though. But its a good idea with all the different mods to come. I like the custom front body mounts. Looks cool, keep up the good work. I've got mine up on the marketplace.

I would go with a new set of tires and wheels. maybe some new coilovers, graphite or aluminum shock towers. Whatever you think you need. Just have fun with it. Sounds like your doing pretty good so far....

yea I'd go with some new tires too. If you want on road and offroad (allterrain) Go with the Proline Dirt Hawgs. Front and rear.

Wicked, is that the stock chassis or the custom chassis?
