well i thought the same thing but the leds i put in don't stick out past the plastic on the bumper . I also did some crash test at low and medium speed . jumping and landing bumper first, and just running strait in to the curb at medium speed and they did not break at all . so for minor wrecks they are fine and if you do happen to break them radio shack has them cheap and they are easy to replace. plus the way i did it no extra battery to add weight to the truck.
Glad it works out for you!!! I wish i had a video camera to tape my rusty! Oh well, so where is everyone these days? Whats up?

I'd get a new esc first. When I first got my rusty I had it for about two days then the esc blew and I couldn't run it for a while![:@]

i'm so heart broken! I got my rustler all setup with the Duratrax intellispeed 12t and the SPeedgem 13x3 with some cool pede tires (ok so the tires aren't cool).

Now I have to wait for a new idler gear, dang plastic crap broke in 4 minutes. I thought maybe, well was hoping more like it, that just the pinion got slung off the end of the arm, but no, it was the dang idler gear. Not only do I have to wait for the part to get here, I have to clean all those plastic teeth out also! what a mess!

Insted of running the stampede stock tires, what should I run on a rustler? I dont have the stock tires for it nor do I know the size it takes. What tires should I run?

Wow 4 minutes and boom nothing, time to rebuild my 2nd tranny (first my pede, not my rusty) dang it!

Go to tower and any tires that have a 2.2 size will fit. I'd suggest dirt hawgs or masher 2ks.

Sorry to hear of your tranny troubles.[]
