Just snagged a nib Vxl 'Pede for 259 off of ebay! Woohoo! Now does anyone want to tell me how ebay works? lol! I used paypal, the seller collected the fees, and I sent him an email, no response...he has an 150 or so rating at 100 percent good... I guess it's because it's only been a few hours from the closing of the auction. Usually how long does it take for em to respond? He responded mighty quick when I asked what color it was, but that was before the auction... and he was mighty quick to collect the money. You think I got dooped? First time with ebay Leme know.

how often do you check your e mail? If he doesnt check it then he isnt gonna reply. He should just ship it and then maybe send you an e mail with a tracking number or not, however he ships it.

My stampedes driveshafts are waring out at the pins. its not to bad now but theres slack, but at one time i herd the CVD's limit shock travel is this true?
Maybe your thinking of CVD's but the driveshafts don't really have the pins like the CVD's do. You're probably talking about the little ball between the yolk and the shaft, or maybe the screw that goes into the output yolk. Expect some wear on those, they are plastic. Metal can eventually wear down plastic, and that's what's happening. As long as you don't notice a performance difference or a sound change, you should be good. CVD's are known to limit shock travel, but that has only really been proven with the MIP CVD's. It's fair to say that other CVD's might be better built and might not have the design flaws that are present in the MIP model. I would stick with stock if it's been working for you. Another option would be the Jato driveshafts. Either way, I have never had a problem with any of the stock shafts and unless your constantly stripping them, I see no further reason to upgrade.
Thanks always dreamin' yeah the stock shafts are waring out slightly were the yolks connect to the actual shaft like you stated, there still working decent but in time i no they will fail i just dont no when. but i will look into the jato ones, do they fit stock?, i thought mip was good manufacture you would think they wouldnt have that design flaw but anyways thanks again

hmm is it the sidewinder making the noise like is it one of the beeps it does when you turn it on or is it like a gear grinding noise or something.

Is it programmed to go straight to reverse? If so then it doesn't have brakes it just strips the gears... Haha.

I think the money was received automaticly. I usually give them a day. After that, I send another E-mail. Congrats on the Stampede. Probably a good thing because mine is no longer on the market.

It's probably a steel plate of some sort. Something that small won't weigh hardly anything. Sharp body on your truck. Mine is all tore apart at the moment. Got a bum A.I. BL esc off ebay, so I'm waiting to do something about that. Gonna have a 9.5 in it and a big freakin 8000 mah lipo. Should run for at least 45 minutes. Much funner in the dirt than the rustler.

man an A.I. with a 9.5 on 8000mAh isn't gonna be able to run 45 minutes straight... It would get hot... Nothing can really run that long without overheating IMO. Still. You will only have to charge that battery like once a week!

Well i took apart my tranny today and i found what the problem was my dif is striped on one side and not on the other its actually rather weird but that's why it was doing almost a clanking noise and still moving, because half of the gear was fine. So im gona probably get the metal dif now and what do you guys think, should i get anything else while I'm at it? like whats the next part of the of the drivetrain thats going to break

That'd be the one! But it's not the whole diff. Just the ring gear. You still need to take out the internals from your current one.

no, it has to be steel, or it will get chewed up by the other two steel gears.

I have it programmed for brake and no reverse....also no gears are stripped. I was using it today and the brakes startde working so ill leave that alone for now. Now for another problem[X(] I was just running...not jumping just driving and during a wheelie the nose just droped and it wouldnt move. I took the gear cover off and the pinion and spur gears are fine. I have a feeling its the idler what do you guys think?
