sounds awesome how do you get rpm arms to fit?
sounds awesome how do you get rpm arms to fit?
I had to order them from a Hobby shop in Britian. I hounded RPM for months but they wouldn't reproduce them for me, so I had to go abroad.
Sorry I misread question...the duratrax arms are the same as the (RPM) Losi xx or any other Losi xx arms.

All RIGHT,200 and still going strong!
I really like the dirt hawgs too. A very good all around tire for the rear.

Took my car out to test my motor - It's screaming fast! (and I only have a ni-cd[X(]) Torque is incredible... It's overall a better motor than that Photon Speed.... Tower Hobbies doesn't have this motor.
It's dyno printout-
RPM: 19,656 @ 5.0 Volts
Power: 64W @ 10.6K
Torque: 1045 gm/cm
Eff: 47.7% @ 13.0K

When I have been running my evader, I hear this grinding, whining noise when I step on the throttle from a stand still or when have lots of resistance like going up a hill. I checked out the pinion and spur they seem fine..Could it be the tranny?

The idler gears are weak (plastic) and strip out easy. You need to first make sure your gear mesh is OK and if it is pull the trany apart and check the idler gear, it's probably missing some teeth. Put in the aluminum idler for the nitro evader and cure it for good.

Once I go to my g-parent's cabin on Monday I will get some videos of my rcs in the snow because they live in Canada so there is snow. Woohooo! Just felt like saying that and also I may get a real videocamera for Christmas hopefully so that will be much better than the camera I am using now. And my Evader is working great, had to make a battery strap out of aluminum as I broke the stock one. I don't have any power tools now so I had to chop a piece of aluminum with a little chopper thingy lol. But yeah, that's pretty much all I have to say I think.

I got some new tires today. Dirt Hawgs. They are nuts actually although the only wheels the LHS had were for a T4 so I just drilled a bigger whole in them although one of them is a bit off balance, but it works fine so I am happy I guess. I will have pics later.

RE: The Evader Coalition - T.E.C.
wow. Today was the first time i have run the truck in about 4 or so months.
I forgot what it was like to run the damn thing...lol
I got the toe braces on today with a bit of trial and error..lol Im out of it.
I still need to get a MG servo though. The one in the car was nearly shot already and running a pack through it with some minor contact totally blew through what was left of the gears.
I should upgrade everything to deans as well. I guess we'll see where my money gets alocated within the next few weeks. Im buying a rim and tire for my 1:1 truck (fullsize spare set-up in the bed, Ill post pics later. Cell bill. etc)

Motor: Fantom Team Edition Stock 27T (see dyno entry by me above)
Tires: Team Losi Pinks (front and back)

By the way, I picked up a new front RPM bumper. Here's some pics:

RE: The Evader Coalition - T.E.C.
Well, I took my evader out this afternoon and it ran great! i swear I thought the car was running 35mph. Yea, Yea, I know that isnt much for the experienced, but for me just starting out, it's great! i ran it in an open park w/ low cut grass. there were some gravel areas that i thought the car picked up a little more speed when i ran through it. those deans connecters make a difference. Went through two battery packs and then during the third pack.......^%$#%@#%^#%$!!!
the idler finally completely stripped out! i was done for the day. my aluminum idler arrives wednesday. still had fun!
going brushless after christmas; still havent completely decided which system to get. that mamba sure does look tempting.....

I would invest in a temp gage to monitor motor and esc temps. Then you can try different pinions till you get the temps at their lowest. Most hobby shops (and tower) have some for around $20.00. Every tool box should have one (IMHO).

Yeah your right raz, i have a duratrax temp gun/meter. and i monitor all my temps with it!, for Christmas ill have my evader st running real good, one thing im going to do is run to washers on each front wheel do give it a slight wider track it probably wont do much but just something to do, also what can i do, to widen the evader st's stance?, say an extra inch overall? im pushing 12.75 inches with my set up i have now, im running 2.5 inch wide tires, (hpi dirtbonz) so i could run 3 inch wide tires that would do it, but i like my stock tires so is there any suspension mods i could do?

I can't think of a way to widen an st other than reversing the wheels but if you put on wider tires you are adding weight too so keep that in mind.
