I could maybe do a 6x6, but as you mention lunchboxer, i would have to modify the middle axle, however, I've never seen it done on a TXT/Jugg axle or any other for that matter...

WOW!! 24 Lbs. Pretty huge due to running brushless motors it still tops 21 MPH.
Dont let that speed fool you either, a big truck like that going 21MPH is equal to a clod going 35MPH.

is this better???

that might just be what im looking into! Now i probably cant start this project, if i do decide to do it, until about APRIL of next year (hmmm whats significant about april??!?!?) lol

but it wouldnt be so high up! that looks like it would tip over on just about any turn that you were going more than a few mph on!

also i would be fabbing the body from scratch...

still just ideas...

Anyone got any ideas about hop up shocks? I mean any other than Tamiyas quite expensive set.
How long are the stock shocks center hole to center hole when unloaded?

Without measuring them, I think they are pretty standard 4" shocks.. but I can confirm for sure when I get home...

The Tamiya kit says 106mm for the Clodbuster/Bullhead (92mm for the Juggernaut).
http://www.rcmart.com/catalog/produc...ducts_id=21460

I guess the Yearacing kit with 110mm may work?
http://www.rcmart.com/catalog/produc...ducts_id=20087

Or 100mm?
http://www.rcmart.com/catalog/produc...ducts_id=20086

Anyone tried any of the above kits?
The Tamiya kit looks a little bit 'old' designwise.

The first item you listed -> those are the tiny shocks from TLT.. on a Clod / Bullhead, you run 2 of those at each corner..

Not what you want for your TXT..

You need bigger bore shocks..

Tamiya actually released a TXT specific hop-up shocks.. they are discontinued, however...

You can use the rear of the DF-03 hop-up shocks!! But that means you'd need 2 sets! [:@]

Aren't the rear DF03 shocks 70 or 80mm?

Hmm.. since you got a DI, maybe you can go home and measure the rear shocks of your stock DI?!

I thought they are 100mm for the rear.. and maybe 80mm up front?!

Those integy shocks work great on my TXT! I've been using them just fine, even if they are for a E-Maxx.

They dont fit the Blackfoot EX however, got buggy oil filled shocks on it so it looks like a race truck kind-of,
but wont be racing it, no point it's a cheap basher that I built.

Do you have a link for those Integy shocks?

Just measured, the stock TXT shocks, eye to eye = around 3.75"

I'd say any 4" shocks would work... !!

96mm then.

I just measured the DI rear and front shocks also. They are 96mm rear, and 75mm front center hole to center hole.
I don't think I'll buy 2 DF03 kits though. A little wasteful.

WOW. Chesk out the 40 series 23mm adapters. Cheap too.

http://stores.ebay.com/Bizarre-Hobbi...QQftidZ2QQtZkm

Looks like Bizarre Hobbies have quite a few hopups for the TXT.

Seems like GPM have 100mm shocks, but I am unable to find them anywhere but ebay.

Not wasteful if you use the 2 sets of front shocks on something else....

Are you sure moving to GPM is considered "upgrade"?!

I'd consider any alu shock as an upgrade over plastic ones. GPM seems like good quality from my previous experience, but any feedback regaring GPM shocks would be welcome before I get them.

3Racing shocks for the DF03 are at about 25USD per set. I guess they would be good enough.

Will do. We have some snow here now. Hopefully there will be more before the holidays so I can have a friend catch some spectacular action shots with those paddles throwing up snow.

The LB technique? LOL. Nah I'll settle for a friend or even put my EOS on the tripod
Only the mirror reflex is good enough to get good action shots.
Problem is only to have the time. [:@][:@][:@]

They are both on the shelf, but the boss have put them on hold. The plan at the moment is that my 20 months old son shall have them (and build them) when he is able to, so I guess they may collect some dust before they get built
