The chassis is all plastic, the body is just a Lexan Shell. You would need to wrap the ESC,Reciever, and Servo in some sort of cover...

It's not going to be easy to full waterproof anything like this.

It is a cool model that is relatively cheap though!

How good is the flex and stuff like that.

I'm going to be using this as an all around truck.

Also, is the ground clearance any good?

Thanks for answering all my questions!

I know my dad's RS4 has a decent amount of flex for a car.

I think the ground clearance on the F-150 is decent.. but it is more of a rally car.. i.e., for gravel / dirt.. it is not meant for crawling over big rocks..

For a lot of flex, you can look into cars that have solid axles.. but then, of course, you gave up some handling right there..

So there's always a trade off....

Yeah, I was looking at the TLT-1, but then I saw this.

Plus I don't have to much money to spend either.

No doubt the F-150 will handle a lot better on less rough surface... TLT will have more potential for crawl over big rocks.. BUT, at stock form, the TLT isn't much of a crawler either.. due to the low ground clearance.. but you can modify it, etc.

Nice.. need to stretch the wheelbase a little bit or it will keep on flip over, though.. (w/ the big tires..)

It doesn't flip to bad.

Everything is reversed too, the battery being heavier is in fornt so the chassis was turned around.

It's really not that big... consider my XXX-T is even wider!!

The measurements are directly from the top of the body shell.

16ins long, 7ins wide. No exageration.

I wonder if my parma bronco shell would fit....

AWESOME!!!

I just measured it and it's 7 1/4 inches wide and 15 1/2 inches wide.

I'm gonna do that with mine.

That would look really scale!!!

Just keeping this thread alive....

I plan to purchase this truck and thank you hunter306 for the guide!!

Is it worth everything and what is the stock motor?

On tower it just says 540 size, no turn specs and such.

Rofl, keeping it alive after one day! We don't forget that easily...

Stock motor= silver can. 27t. comes with tamiya kits. Its a long lasting motor, good for runtimes, but it's a bit slow. Remember, this isn't really designed for anything faster.

Yeah, It's gonna be fun in the snow!!

I'm just coming over from URC and over there, if a thread is on the next page of threads, it's a month old.

Is that a sealed can motor?

No the stocker is not a sealed can. It is just a standard mabauchi motor (about 27t).

I run it in my lunchbox and it has been going strong for a long time. I ran it in the F-150 for about 2 runs, but it is a little slow.

If you have a chance, a 19t motor makes this thing FAST. 19t is almost too much, due to the slimmer wheelbase. Regardless, this is a fun little truck and seems to be pretty capable overal. Plus, I love the "Mud Terrain" tires it comes with, they look really cool.

Last I check in the T-Egg thread you made you had TLT tires on it....

I just won the photo contest on URC and got a $30 gift certificate to towerhobbies. I think I might pick one up...
