RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread
Peloche - it looks like they were tight and the motor may have shifted and the bolts still feel tight if you had a quick stop into a curb or something. Sometimes the middle melts from the spur slipping too much but yours doesn't look like I did. I've never worn out a plastic spur gear that was meshed properly. Put on a new spur gear without changing the motor position and that will tell you what your mesh was like before this and if the motor shifted.

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread
Same thing happened to an old T4 my dad had way back. Bought it, took it home, popped in a charged pack without checking the slipper, and after about an hour of running, the spur was destroyed very similiar to how yours is. We checked the mesh after and it was wayyyyyyy too tight from what we could tell, and right outta the factory. It may have been over looked when it was all packaged or something like that. These things happen. And the motor could very well have moved with the tiny screws they use in the motor, they could also not have been tightened. You never know with these things. Either way, just buy a new slipper and pads, put it all back together and check the mesh like it says in the book, you should be good to go then, like all the other guys have said.

I have those shocks on my savage XS and had them on my storm and blitz as well. I have socks on everything. They look good with the orange caps.

Thats the only thing that scared me away, especially since I more or less just bash. I will probably race in the future, though.

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread
That Firestorm looks nice, Im going to do a little work to mine now that were starting to get snow already in Upstate NY. I'm going to pick up 2-3 carbon bits to lighten it up, Going to go with the Carbon Shock tower's and battery strap and Servo brace.
Can someone weigh those carbon bits VS stock plastic and tell me the weight savings please

Peloche - its not common to happen and is not a flaw. I am certain when you retighten and add blue loctite it won't happen again.

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread
I just burned through another set of dirt works tonight. I decided to put the savage XS tires all around on the storm. It looks kind of cool. Pictures are coming. They aren't great tires but I find for playing on the street I just need to have some tread to shave off so they are ideal.
5000 mAh 3s battery running constantly and fast a lot of the time lasted 14 minutes. Savage XS with a 2s 5400mAh pack ran for 20 minutes. I am going to get times for the FS on 2s and get more information on the 3s. I discovered how to use the timer option on my radio.
