OK I need some help. I trimmed the body down so I can fit it on the storm. I have marked where the body posts hit with a sharpie. I am mainly trying to line up the rear shock tower in to the humps on the body. As you can see the body mount posts hit in an awkward location. Any ideas? Thanks
They hit right on this ridge in the body

put some washers between the body posts and shock tower?  You might need longer bolts, but It will space it back a bit.

Not a bad idea...just space it out from the shock tower. Thanks I will investigate this option

I had to do that with my storm to get them to line up with the stock holes because the dimensions of the chassis wasn't quite the same as the stock one, they have a 5mm offset.
You can see it in the build thread: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_10...m.htm#10737402
I am going to do a one year later update on that. Tomorrow is the hobby show and the one year anniversary of meeting Red and Willy (Willy, where are you man?).

Well in the mean time installed the Blitz ESE pro top shaft and lightweight slipper set up. I ran the 88t spur.

I was surprised at the difference in top shafts!

Anytime

After I saw that body on your EFS I had to have it! It looks alot like a 1/8 truggy. Plus my gf likes it and shes been wanting a new body for the EFS anyways.

Are those other Lipos 3s zippys?

I bet a wing from the 1/16th revo would make this look like a great scaled down 1/8th truggy.

Or even some of these could work. I like the idea.

Hi,

Today i went for shooting video with E Firestorm, last time i used my iPhone, it wasn't good so i prepared my HD video camera:

with EFS remote:

and shooted, it is not better than before the main difference is that it can be improved if i aim permanently the car...

http://peloche.smugmug.com/RC/HPI/E-...8_Z9JWXRq-A-LB

The end of tape is end of EFS it touched the ground upside down onto the wheelies and this has broken the Upper brace:

Anyway i won't reinstall the wheelie bar, it's fragilizing the Upper brace with motor weight.

I did come with a spoiler (a lot like our stock one) That isn't in the pics. I kinda like the looks of the style wanna be posted, although I think I would rip it off while bashing

Yeah they probably would. I would use it for my show body though. I normally keep a bash body, and a show-off body.

And peloche, if the wheelie bar is what caused that, then buy the STRC aluminum one. good luck breaking that.

The metal wheelie bars (bonzai bars) work well but they tend to bend....when bashing.

Welcome back, Red, I hope you enjoyed the trip.

I like the bulldog body style a lot, great choice.  I have a new look coming for the storm on a regular DSX-2 body

It says it won't if you look on there website, but I believe it's DarksideVR who has one on his EFS, and it looks like it works fine.

EDIT: You can see it in the pics above.

So I had my first bash today with the EFS after the rebuild, and It is really fast with the Lipo.  Crazy fast.  like wheelies until 30 mph (thank god for those tbone bars).

Just a word for the people looking at getting the proline dirt hawgs- they balloon really bad under power, and will require firmer foam inserts.  I am looking into them now. Any ideas?

I have an issue with them as well. Balloon so much just from Lipo power, I have to reglue them almost every other pack. But mine are about worn out completely, so I'll use them till they're done for.

I think this was misinterpreted. The STRC camberlink piece and not a wheelie bar is what wanna_be is referring to.

I didn't get to the hobby show this weekend. It was actually last week and not on the weekend and the only thing to go to instead was this crappy place called Big Boys With Cool Toys. We elected not to go. Like last year they made up a mock "Hobby Show" including a website that tried to lead people to their store again like last year. The website is made to look like its a general hobby show like the real hobby show. Petty and pretty low if you ask me.

Correct. The STRC camberlink can be used, even though it says it can't on their website.

Rob, that is pretty low. Couldn't that be interpreted as false advertising?

And update on my busted motor, Castle doesn't make the cm36 repair kits anymore. And I can't seem to find one anywhere online. Just the ones for the 1406, 1410, and the 1408 motors. So, like I said earlier, I'll just wait till next week and order the 3800 SCT combo.
