I'm not sure why you wouldn't want to read over 2000 post . LOL, I don't blame you but a search of this thread may help but wading through the useless posts would be a chore.
Most people go with RPM parts whenever something breaks. Aluminum shock caps can also be help as many have reported blowing the stock plastic ones. If you want to take is a step further, replace the stock shocks with the Traxxas Big Bore shocks.
If your looking for more power then try the VXL Brushless System or Castle Creations 4600 Sidewinder system. Some prefer to use a Castle ESC (for it's adjustability) and the VXL motor as a combo. You could also step up to 2S lipos for even more power. Some run 3s but it's crazy fast.
P.S. Try not to get so angry. Life is too short to waste energy messing with unhelpful people in a forum. Happy New Year!

What do you guys think would be a better bashing set up, the protrac kit or rpm stuff mixed with some aluminum parts. I would like to race but with my time schedule i only have time to bash with truck in a dirt area. I like the pro line protrac kit but it seems more for racing. So I want to make my truck as tough as possible. Thanks guys

Thats the route I will be going when something breaks.............first need to get my take in with spec/stock racing first.

Anyone used the pro line epic beadlocks? Are they worth getting for bashing? Do they blow off the rim easily?
Thanks
Mike
Thanks

I think it's supposed to be stock spec as far as size and bolt line up wise so any that fit the stock should fit right?

A couple of things to note... go with alu rear hubs, due to the rpm flexibility I've heard from alot of people that they tend to bend the pin. Also steer clear of the beadlock, they are heavy and if you want to power up to 3s brushless one day they won't take it. Stick with the Split-six one-piece wheels, you can even get them premounted to all of prolines variety of short course truck tires.

So since you mention the split six wheels do you think the proline protrac kit would be worth getting?

Thanks but no. I dont care much for a 14 hour race day. Id rather go to Larry's and rip it up in practice for a few hours on Sats while running all I want.

Well looks like I'll be racing my 2wd brushless slash with the 4wd slashes this weekend. They made the class open, anything goes!
I'll try to take the 4wd's out! Haha

Dam 14 hour race days? What is up with that? My local track isn't anything like that. Also 5 bucks to practice all day long as long as they are not racing. Hard to beat that........unless you know the owner, lol!
