Default battery packs?

Ok, whats the best bang for my buck for 7.2 battery packs?I have orion 3000 sport packs but they lose their edge fast and not much run time,so is there some better packs out there for under $50.00?I was checking cheapbattery.com,looks like I can get 5000 nimh for around $50.00 a pack, are they any good?

Thanks
