Default Traxxas T-Maxx 3.3 or HPI Savage X 4.6

I have a Stampede XL-5 and Slash but I am now thinking about a Nitro truck. I narrowed it down to a T-Maxx 3.3 or Savage X 4.6 and don't know which one to get. So I need your guys opinion which is better. If it wasn't for the EZ start on the T-Maxx I would so go for the Savage, but is Savage so good that it over rules the EZ start or is the EZ start really worth it.

Even though this is the electric forum im gonna have to be loyal and say savage. the tmaxx is alright but no where near as good as the savage. and the EZ start is crap, the roto start is way better.

Id go with the Savage, the EZ-Start is a downgrade IMO. I would much rather have a oull start than ez start. ALso look at the Losi Aftershock. It is based off the LST2 and has a way better radio computer radio (jr xr2i) and a good engine and with the backplte it comes with, you can use pull start OR spin start (losi's starting system)

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why in the heck would you ask that question with the screen name "Savage 4.6 fan"?

Get the Savage................................ Hands down the Savage series of trucks are the greatest bashers ever built...............................

I have an S-Maxx 3.3 that I added the 4WD kit to.

Very fast, very tough, but the Traxxas 3.3 motor is a pain in the butt to tune. You spend as much time tuning it as you do driving it, and that experience has forced me to go electric.

You can spend 10 minutes dialing it in perfect. And then tomorrow it runs like crap again. I have talked to a lot of people, and that is just one of the traits of the Traxxas motors. They are very strong and reliable, but very finicky about tuning.

I have been told that the Savage is the nitro truck to bash with, and I wish that I had gone that route.

My next truck will be a 1/5 scale gas car. No more Nitro for me...
