The guy at you LHS wasnt very clear with you eh? Just make sure the asphalt is smooth...even little pebbles can chunk up the foams easily.

You really have to be carefull with the hipo motors. You cant just hit full throttle from standstill you have to ease the power on the go full throttle. Also be easy on the braking.

Not really. Its a real simple tranny though. Just make sure you grease it real well and use good quality grease. You have BB in the front and rear tranny too?

You might want to consider the changing of that motor with another one which won't destroy your stuff. I know you will get carried away and forget about being easy on the throttle and then back to the shop for repairs again. Find the limitations of a product and either make it stronger or stay just under that limit. Which in this case seems as though a different motor....sorry.

I bet you were on cloud nine till it gave up though.....LOL

Thanks

My TT-01...what all my money and modding time has gone into for the last few weeks...

Futuba Receiver, Servo, and TX
Aluminum Propeller Shaft
Aluminum Heatsink
Ball Bearings
HPI Wheels with Black PVC Drift tires just for the time being...
2 3300 mAh Ni-MH Battery Packs w/ Smart/Fast charger from Batteryspace..
Still looking for the motor, and preety much decided that i'm going to get the Tamiya Sport Tuned motor...

Thing is way fun to drift/drive...i'm in love with it..lol

hmmm when I look at your tires I think mines are worn way out! how many runs do you get on those ABS tires before you need to change them? I think I have like 15-20 runs on mine and they are starting to have alot of grip on them my TT-01 is now sidelined until I can get new spur gears any suggestions ? I think I might put my green machine in it, would the stock 19t gear work for this?

Hey People,
Almost finished my TT-01, no limit esc 11t motor. After fixing the servo to the steering,(aluminium steering set) the servo makes
a buzzing sound when turning left and right.I have tried it without connecting it to the steering and it doesn't make any buzzing. What would cause this? Would I be right in saying that the servo is struggling and isn't powerfull enough[&o]

thanks for listening

Never heard of it, but its normal for the servo to make a noise when rotating. Whats the specs on that servo?

Thats the diameter of the hole on the pinion. You have to get the same size diameter as the shaft on the motor. You shouldnt have any problems getting that spur to mount...as long as you bought the one made for the TT-01

I tried few position and it cant be fit with the spur. a lot of space between the pinon and spur.

So, you got the pinion on the motor than? Ok...what position did you mount the motor on the motor mount? A,B,C,D? 25/55 you need to mount in the A position and if that dont work just try mounting in different positions...how many mounting holes your motor got?
