Default RE: Phoenix Flight Sim - USB Adapter

If they gave out dongles (Phoenix SIM peeps) to everyone that said that they "lost" it...they would be out of business.  Far as they know, a person could have given the SIM away and just want to get another one for free.  Not that that is the case here, but as far as they concerned, its a likely scenerio.

Also...for the person that cant understand why COD costs much less than flight SIMs...its pretty simple really.  There is a MUCH larger market for console games than flight sims...let me rephrase, RC Flight SIMS.

If the market was there to support Phoenix like it is for COD, or any other popular console game, the price would be much cheaper.  If you can sell a 50 dollar game to 2 million people, you are going to make a good bit of coin.  Whereas the flight SIM developers have a much MUCH smaller audience to sell to....but probably close to the same amount of programming work.  So, they have to recoup the costs of developing a SIM by charging more for it because they have a lot less people that are in that market to buy.  I dont know a statistic exists, but I would say that for every 50 copies of COD that is sold, 1 flight SIM is sold (and that is TOTAL of SIMS on the market, not just Phoenix).

Most "gamers" would think an RC SIM is boring and wouldnt buy it just to "play" with.  Heck, I think of it as a tool and not a game.  Im sure Im not alone in this thought process.  I use the SIM to practice with...if I want to play a game I break out the XBOX, Wii or Playstation.

Just my .02's

i have used the generic adapters from fleabay or china they work fine, i truly wished someone like microsoft would design and sell a r/c flight sim, that works on a pc or xbox etc..then you would have great market penetration and better sophistication as well

would have to buy a whole new package. As a consumer, I find this outrageous and anti-consumer friendly.
