What everyone is refering to is this.... There are two types of RC, Toy-Grade, and Hobby-Grade. To those of us who have been into the hobby-grade RC, all the toy-grade RC's are worthless. IMHO The reason there is not much out there about them is because the serious people in RC that come to places like RCU don't waste money on toy-grade RC's. Put the $200 toward something of the hobby-grade and you will not be disappointed.

As far as the weight of this thing.... The battery is what weighs so much, and the weight does add traction, but it also slows you down.
The onlything I would want one for is the body, just as others have said.

By the way you are defending the darn thing, you seem like you have made up your mind to get the thing, so just get it. People have given you thier opinion on it and you sure are defending it. It will be slow, the suspension will probably be spring shocks, and if you break something, strip the gears etc, you can kiss that $200.00 GOODBYE. I highly doubt Wal-Mart carries any replacement parts. I have been running every type of RC for almost 20 years and I do have a little knowledge about RC's. So take my advice and everyone elses on heres advice and skip buying this truck. Take your $200.00 and get a real RC, even if it isn't 1/5 or 1/6 scale. Or better yet, save your $200.00 and put it towards getting a real 1/5 scale gas.

Here is the 12 volt battery !!!!! [X(][X(][X(][X(][X(][X(][X(][X(] IS'NT THAT THE SAME BATTERY THAT THE POWER WEELS RIDE ON VEHICLES USE , LIKE THOSE LITTLE JEEPS AND 4WHEELERS THAT THE LITTLE KIDS RIDE AROUND IN ?
even more of a downside then, that is a Gel-Cell, cant be fast charged like Ni-MaH's, a full charge would take about 16 hours & once charged if you let them stand for a period of time with no power left it then becomes a damaged gel-cel :P .. but like ive already said, the RC its self will be weak as it will probably use cheap plastic with no flex, I know you might think its good or worth the money but most users on this forum own gas/petrol powered & the only reason why someone would buy one of these is for the body, the rest to put it bluntly is junk... imo even $90 for that is way over the top.

& no we are not spoiled brats as you put it, how can I be a spoiled brat when im a father of 5 ...think before you make silly comments, you asked for opinions & you have been given them! ...did you honestly think people were going to say "wow..thats a great bargain, get it quick before its gone!" ?

Anywayz im off to have a play with my 1/6 gasser.... because im a spoiled brat!

I have nearly 70k in large scale and just last christmas I got one of the LARGE walmart 300c Dub cars ( because I have a full size one ) and the thing is a blast! With its big wheels LED lights and rap music.... I get a kick out of it. Plus it looks cool next to my car in the garage I say for $100 go for it, who cares what everyone else thinks. Putting the bodies on gas cars just does not look right and kinda looks stupid, not to mention not scale AT ALL.

Not once did i say you need 40mph+ to have fun with RC (i have a RC tug boat which goes a full 5mph!) All i did was reply to his post "info or reviews" i simply made my own review like he asked!

in my 1st post i was actually trying to help the guy & give him an idea about saving for something he would probably have more fun with, im sure if he did have the funds or funds wasnt an issue he would have a 1/6 gasser by now or someting better than what hes asking about & i still think $90 is way over the top of the model he posted.

I didnt see the point to call people who can afford or who have saved long & hard for a more expensive truck/boat/plane etc "spoiled brats" working 6 days a week & looking after 5 kids is far from spoiled imo ..my idea of spoiled is my kids making me a cuppa :P

Sorry if i offended anyone by saying its junk, but at least im being honest instead of lying! ...you asked for reviews, i gave mine which was avoid & get a gas or a even a propper rock crawler which would be MUCH better than the model your asking about as you seem to prefer slower models, $2-300 would easily get you a used one if you save your money

but like i said in future i will just ignore his posts if all he can do is reply "spoiled brats" & use caps when ppl actually try to help & give advice

I like this big scale HUMVEE.

I'll get one if they get price dropped even more.

The 1/6th scale Nylint Rock Crawlers are only 80 bucks and I'll get one of those too.

I like ALL large scale R/Cs, not just my two FGs and my V24 boat.

I think that they are pretty cool. Now I wouldn't take them racing or hard core off roading. But I'll bet that they're great for detailing and weathering. Nice battery! I'll bet that you can get two hours out of that battery.

Is that truck big enough for a GI Joe? Also is that truck 4 wheel drive with differentials? The prices is coming down on those trucks at my local Wallys and I might pick one up and detail it. Wouldn't it look cool with bullet holes peppered across the side of it?

There is a place for every kind of RC model and if it had a radio, I probably have one or had one. I wouldn't race a Humvee against a FG truck but I sure would have just as much fun driving either one.

Your saying you would be having the same amount fun, putting around at 2 mph, and barely being able to go over anything.

Than going 50 mph, doing big jumps, and going thru tough terrain with ease ?

Just by saying that you show your ignorance. You have nothing but negativity to offer. Please stay out of this thread from now on.

The truck can crawl over quite a bit and does about 14mph even in taller grass according to all the people around the internet that ACTUALLY OWN ONE. It's 4wd and has great scale appeal to us hobbyists and with the 12Volt battery it can run for hours on end. I have two tanks that use this 12V 7AH sealed lead battery and it works great. And it can be used later in the hobby for running field boxes. The charger is actually very good and so is the drive train. Durable 32 pitch gears and all.

You hate the truck. Good for you. You've made that clear about six times in one thread. We get your point. Not please go talk somewhere in another thread since you have ZERO to offer here in this thread on this truck anymore.

I have been in R/C for 25 years. And guys like you are the reason this hobby cannot progress. Instead of embracing the fact that this truck might get more people to enjoy R/C and get into gas large scales later, you have to cut it and it's owners down and scare people off. Please go preach your negativity elsewhere. It is not welcome in this thread any longer.

Bring any more non constructive comments into this guys thread and I'll report it and this is total BS from you people trashing something you do not own.

Good day sir.
