I bought the KSCR-002 and love it. I'm having no issues with except for a few that were my fault. For one, Make sure you lock tight everything that joins metal. I did everything but the exhaust bolts and now I'm having to tap it out to a size bigger. I was jumping it and took a hard hit to the rear and stripped out the screw hole. I'm guessing that it was already loose and I fail to realize it. Other than that the buggy had been a good purchase. I have a video of it posted on here. I think it was the last jump did it in. Good luck with your purchase. I bought mine from Heat hobby on Ebay. I've had no issues with the seller and it was the exact car I ordered.

Cool thats good to hear. I think Im going to order the 5T from them. They answer their email pretty quickly which I was happy about. And there ratings look good.
All I have right now are nitros. A few 1/10th and a few 1/8th. I cant wait to try out a 1/5th.

jsut dont treat the 1/5th like a nitro, they are a bit heavier so no 10 foot high back flips with the gaser like i see my mates doing with there nitros, LOL ,apart from that they are mint, i won't be going back to nitro

Yes some of them do not have them. But at the same time alot of the HPI cars also did not have one. If what I was told was true and I highly doubt it was, then the current batch of KM baja's may also come to you missing the bearing.

Again in my opinion I think the entire diff / gear box should be one of your first up grades. If you do use the KM diff you run into the drive cups not being replaceable with the HPI parts. So it's just a matter of time before you break one and then your for the most part stuck with going with a HPI diff.

Edited for selling in forums

Thanks krisnz. Im actually pretty gentle on my stuff to begin with. And I definitely dont want to destroy an $800 truck right out of the box. But you are right I have seen some guys do things Iwouldnt think of trying with a 1/18th..

hi guys I'm new to the 1/5th scale RC world but i do have nitros. i think I'm gonna like the 1/5th better. anyway i just ordered a km ksrc-002 from dancl4 here on rcu and i wanted to ask if they make 2 different types of the ksrc-002 cuz the one i ordered showed a pic that the car has a purple chassis and a grey and black body and comes with the clone ddm pipe and chrome roll cage. then i look at johnny19742k5's ksrc-002 and it has paddle tires a chrome chassis and a white body and i see it has the chrome roll cage and pipe as well. but why are there 2 different one or is there? anyone know?!!!

PS. i cant wait till my new km ksrc-002 gets hear it like im a little kid at X-MAS time lol

It's pretty much the same buggy, the seller just changing out the wheels. I'm sure if you asked for paddle tires he'll put them on instead of the dirtbusters. Can't hurt to ask. BTW I haven't seen a KSRC-002 w/ a purple chassis.

that's weird that km would use two different alloy colors for the same model you would think the ksrc-002 would be one or the other chrome or purple not some with the chrome and some with the purple this sux really cuz id rather have the chrome all well as long as she runs good lol...

funny you ask, thats the second thing that went .dont think it was the power but the diff bolts loosening and leaking the fluid.put in a ss alloy diff.still have the missing bearing, case not made for it.would not have made a difference, sure it would help.

I'm on my 3rd tank of gas. I haven't had any issues with my 29cc. Except for the exhaust bolts which one them stripped out. Like I said before just make sure you use lock tight on all screws the joins metal. BTW my KSRC-002 had the missing bearing installed. I would still check to make sure. The first thing I did to my buggy was a complete tear down and rebuilt it to my specs. Check it the toe and camber. Somebody at KM must have a lazy eye.
