Guys,

I busted the pull start on the maiden crank.. Stripped out the pull-start assembly and found out that the plastic nylon had stripped on the first pull.. Gees..

What would be the best upgrade for the KM 29cc engine? The original HPI pull-start assembly? Or does the Zenoah's fit right in?

Which clutch will fit my KM baja 23cc engine?

This one:
http://www.davesmotors.com/s.nl/c.88...t.A/id.2439/.f

or this one:
http://www.davesmotors.com/s.nl/c.88...t.A/id.2452/.f

or maybe both will work?

I mostly concerned about 10mm and 8 mm mounting holes ;p
no1 knows ?

The CY clutch will work (the first one) and make sure you check the KM bolts diameter to make sure they fit that clutch, if not get the right bolts

I had to buy a new engine for my km 2.0 because the original air filter didnt filter the air good enough so my engine sucked in about all the gravel and dirt at my local track one day so it just died...
Bought the zenoah g270rc engine, and man! what a difference from the original one!!
Much more power from bottom and just more power all the way!
And the km tune pipe, isnt worth sh"#¤ I think.I saw a baja with the same engine I have but with a jetpro tune pipe, damn what a differnece in performance!
So next up from daves is a ddm pipe I think!
But else, very happy with my KM!!

Found the link!!

http://www.jethobby.com.sg/cgi-bin/e...8&idx=11&gid=3

These are for gas boats. I guess the size of the clutch should be the same.

Any advantage of CNC over the normal clutch shoes?

Stock comes with a 6k clutch. An 8k clutch means it wont engage until the engine hits roughly 8k rpms. Which will have faster acceleration.

Sorry if its been asked before but is the KM Baja 3.0 a better buy the the 2.0? I want the real heavy duty version but I'm not to sure on whats best. The 3.0 is around $150 more.
Any help welcome

It probably will Nitrosports. The clutch might wear down faster. But I had it on before I had the SS differential and I did not see any problems.

Can't wipe this smile from my face! [8D] In the past month, I've purchased 2 1/5th scales... A used BAJA 5T, and a new KM T1000... The Baja is very new, but the engine is toast, so I've only had the opportunity to fight it trying to get it to run. I have a new engine on the way, but in the mean time, Ive been working on breaking in the T1000. All I can say is "WOW!" This thing is amazing! Can't believe it took me this long to jump on the 1/5th scale bandwagon! Not only because of the size, but mostly because of the ease of use factor compared to nitro! 2-3 pulls on the KM is all it takes! No charging starter boxes, ignitors or worrying so much about engine temps! So much more relaxing when a neighbor walks up, to just let the truck SIT and idle without worrying about running it in circles or fouling out a glow plug... I don't even miss 4 wheel drive yet, since the truck is so well balanced, and more realistic than my Mugen MBX6 &6T!

Goodies I already have between the two trucks... Killer RC Cables, Outerwears Prefilter, V2-S Killer Bee, Jet Pro Pipe (which makes working on the truck a PITA!)

Goodies on the way... 2nd set of Killer Cables, (1) Killer Light Controller & Lights to try out, another KM 29cc engine for the 5T (price was right...)

Goodies I am considering... KM aluminum arm set, aluminum clutchbell mount, KM alum. knuckles and rear hubs

Am I missing anything?

Cheers!
