I can. But I just hate buying used r/c stuff. I guess if the price was right I would go for it.

Just had a quick ? for KM baja owners. If you replaced like 90% of the stock parts with aftermarket , can you tell the difference between the KM and the HPI ? Im asking because I plan on racing and I was just reading that no clones are allowed at the hostile baja fest. I would hate to travel for a race only to get turned away. Thanks!!

why don't you buy a used baja then? the yare selling for as much as a clone now anywasy..

That is a great idea..

Hello all. I have been watching this forum for a couple of weeks now. So now I just ordered the km 002 29cc buggy from Heathobby!! I am new to large scale gas cars so I cant wait! I have a savage and a revo and those are awesome, but tired of all the tuning and adjusting. This is a great place to get good advice on km buggies! Thanks!! Should have my car friday!

Does anyone know where to get the KM baja in the UK for the cheapest  (including P&P), ive been wanting one for a fair bit, and after reading 121 pages of posts i can't wait. I dont mind if its the KRCS001 or 02 or the kit version if there is one, i just want it the cheapest. Many thanks

The trucks are here!!!! In stock and in the US!!!! Wahooo!!!! It was worth the wait! I have 50 in stock and will list them on RC Universe very soon.

This weekend I am really going to test it out and will report more on it. It looks amazing... really good job with the body (not thin at all) and the body parts.

I already took apart the shock and they did it right (about a dozen small pin holes).

I think after all my complaining about the servos they fixed it... real quick... the servo should last much longer. The 2.4hz radio is nice... didn't test the range but it is digital and I think you can put other cars on it if you had the recievers... No sign of any glitches.

Nice alloy diff, although I haven't taken it apart to really get a good look.

The ones I got have the HPI pipe and I got them with white body and black stripes and black body with white stripes. The pipe is nice, aluminum and light.

I am going to post some pictures tonight so stay tuned.

One thing that was apparent is that the packaging and boxing is not quite there. I think it is because they just came out with it. The box that they are shipped in won't last a day. I am going to repackage them to make sure they don't get damaged when I ship them. I can see why people have reported problems when other sellers drop ship them... there is no way that it can survive from china.

I will post a website soon with more details. In the meantime if you have questions drop me a line.

Is all the parts between the KM and HPI totally interchangeable 100%? One reason the HPI are more expensive is the clones do not sponsor events like , Bajafest, Baja Challenge, Dumefest and so on.

only bit i noticed was that the hpi radio box doesnt fit in the chassis as there is no hole in the chassis for the little guide peg on the bottom of the radio box (the battery bit) you can cut the peg off or drill a hole in the chassis, everything else seemed the same.

Most bits are interchangeable. There has been slight problems with HPI parts not fitting the KM diff case, but a whole new HPI diff would fit. Just small things like that really. And if you just use common sense, most things can be modded slightly to fit.

The plastics seem good... just like the original buggy. I haven't really had any problems with the plastics from KM. My concern with this shipment is the engine, servos, shocks and diff. You really have to put 2-3 tanks through it to really test these things out. I think they improved them all, when I placed this order I tried to get them to focus on those things.

just an update. too many tanks to remember now. first damage report: ripped outter axle boot (torn from grass wrap), and left rear tire (not really damage, but at the distance the foam flew out of the tire warrants it to me to be damage....) and thats it. now for current upgrade list: km rear dom style tuned pipe w/x-can (40 bucks shipped from heathobby), proline badlands, pullstart outterwears, 5t roof guard, and hitec 645mg throttle/brake servo.

I ran the 5T tonight... the servos are awesome. Great breaks, great control. They really improved the mechanics of it. I ran about 1/2 tank through it no problem.

One thing was weird the back sway bars just poped out... I am not sure if it is a design flaw or not. I think the 5T has the same design. So I put a couple of screws through it and now they are not going anywhere.

I will probably test it out some more this weekend. I took some video and will post some stuff on u-tube.

I will list them on Ebay shortly, but they will be more money than RC Universe. Ebay kills you in fees. Take a look at the ads here or just send me your email address and I will send you a paypal invoice for a discounted price. Ebay takes about 50+ bucks for listing... crazy... sometimes they make more money than I do... :-)
