Nice looking buggy man! Doesn't that sound a little fishy, two companies coming out with such a similar design within 2 months of each other? Ibelieve the KMis a clone but that doesn't bother me as long as you know what you are getting into with a replica of another brand. Just my opinion of course
ORIGINAL: Coopz

Just for the record, I've had my KM 3.0 for 5 months and have not bent or broken a single part and the engine is still going strong on the original plug Just the pullstarter had to be replaced, meh $20...
Blinged it up, will get a new pipe soon, the SS clone pipe is far to loud for suburban use.

Just need to clear up something, is the KM a clone? I was talking to the local HPI importer the other day and he said HPI bought the design off KM as both buggies appeared on the market within a 2 months or so, far to soon to clone a complex model car down to the last nut and bolt. (yes a HPI person sticking up for a rival brand)

Talk about irony! If the two were released within two months each other, there is NOWAY one is a clone! It would only be possible if both companies had access to the same drawings and tooling, which I suspect is the case. That also begs the question as to the other "clones" - are they really reverse-engineered copies, or are they also made from the same machines too?

The HPI zealots will suffer apoplexy to see their very reliigion in tatters, and their justification for spending heaps more money looking very shaky.

So finally, can anyone provide me link where i can buy 1 from.

Has anyone tried engagerc.com.
They are selling it really cheap, $587 shipped to India, but they dont seem like a Good site, i mean looks like some kind of cheaters.
Has anyone any previous experience with them?

I ordered a KM Buggy from Heat Hobby. It was suppose to arrive Monday per Heat Hobby notification. Checked UPS tracking # and it was never shipped. I did recieve a reply from Celia (Heat Hobby I guess) that they would trace the packing and this could take up to 8 busniess days. Why would you need to trace it, it never shipped. . I know from this forum many people have bought from Heat Hobby without any problems. I am starting to feel a little uneasy, they have my money and I don't have a buggy.Has anyone else had any problems. Really looking forward to a 1/5 scale Buggy.
Thanks Robbie

i saw ebay a/c of engagerc. they have 99.6% positive review, but they sell km baja 1.0 for $487 which seems realy low and has made me doubt them.

NEVER rely on positive reviews on eBay. It makes heaps of sense that the crooks will do whatever it takes to avoid a bad review, whereas honest sellers will accept the odd negative - as sh#t happens

For me his prices are to high, Danlc4 has lower price's on his buggy's, trucks, parts, and shipping. And another good part about his service's is that he has a contact phone number Ill by that for a dollar

Well I'm sorry you can't get hte link to work. You seem somehow determined to believe that engageRc are beyond criticism.... f If you are still prepared to buy from EngageRC, you won't listen to what anyone else says. Good luck, you might need it
