Default RE: FG BEETLE PRO REBUILD THREAD(my style)

hello victory rc

thanks very much,i have loads and loads of money spent on this fg,just got the elcon wheel adaptors now to reinforce the wheels at the rear to cope with the power it puts down,i am waiting on the new cad race ported engine from hobbythek..its supposed to be insane!!! cant wait...

i have heard that name before,do you sell models you have a shop yes? i think i was looking through it one time or another.

yes you are spot on about the beetle bodies being discontinued,fg had to pay royalties to volkswagon so they couldnt be bothered with them anymore...pity,i must mind mine now lol

hi dan u could do what we r going to do and make your self a mold off it and this way u cold have a
new shell made anytime u want one . we have made a set off suide guards out off plastic pipe and useing them to make a mold
and were going to mke a few sets out off fibre glass these should be strong enough for what we r going to put it through .
i think the bugs shell would prety easy to do .
i,ll get some pick off us doing the side guards and the hummer shell

man that desert rat body is just the buisness,im guessing the rat body is the blue one yeah??

god i love them!!! very nice man..

i painted a few bodys in my time, one is on my carson onroad thread here the 320si bmw i done the lot from scratch with alpine white and decals. (carson onroad tested to the max) here on this forum. also i done my black beetle checqured body shell as seen here on this thread back a page or two. as for the other blue one that one was specially airbrushed in the uk two years ago for me i must mind that one...

the black one i have was hard to do chequred are always tough, girlfriend helped me with that.

so would that blue rat body fit a beetle?

that is just sweet.........

here are some pics of mine.

what do you think?

man i just love your desert rat body though........

You have some nice stuff there. The fg looks big enough to handle a baja 5t body,If you could get it mounted up. ...and that shouldnt be that big a deal. What options do you FG guys have for bodies? ..I think i have seen pick-ups.

The blue rockstar body i painted in my photos is a replacement body for the black body in this picture (HPI baja 5t)

I sent you a PM.

The blue body is a baja 5T not a desert rat from proline. its a basic HPI clear body for a baja5T.

yes,I painted it and it kicked my *** LOL.

a clear body from hpi is $200, shipping would be a killer [X(]

I like the true fire paints... the rockstar body was a rare non true fire.

I like to airbrush the bods ,lots of fun, making the molds also... when i can. Everyone is doing "monster" and its overdone,so i did a rockstar for ebay, something new...Im liking the rockstars...nice colors and the diamond plate looks great. You should have seen the guy i got the idea from, hes an artist. !

^ Yeah, that one is for the MT, the Marder one will rub the wheels on the fenders.

I like that shell actually, kind-a cute. I just might order one the next time I place an order from DDM for some more supplies (that is, if I remember this thread!).
