AWESOME UPDATES:

FG BEETLE:
i have decided to stick with jetpro pipe to save costs.i will look in to getting a silenser for it maybe from ddm.but for now i will have beetle up & running next week

so i can set up track and get a decent video.
here is the order i just placed,as you all know i took mecathek hydros and fitted them to my onroad fg model so i have ordered another set for this.
as regards clutch i have spoke to a person in hobbythek and he said most people now with high powered engines just use the upgraded clutch spring lol for 5 euro its worth a try,i was told it will be perfect.

thanks darkfire

yes i too think it looks well now this time round.im glad in a way i stuck with jetpro as its a great performer if limited access to car when fitted.i will fit a silenser {non restrictive one} eventually to prevent me from having imploding ear drums lol

well im at it as we speak and i have alot of tricky work ahead......

some small updates.....painted roll cage met silver & radio box.shined up car sitting on bench waiting for me to install a large hitec in a small area in my alloy radio tray mmmm its going to be tricky...chop chop....and then i will be mounting hydro pedestal tuesday.these things can be tricky and wiring man i hate it.i need to do a good job......

elcon parts are such a dream to work with {[check pics}}

darkfire i have no idea,i never weighed it man.when i have it finished and rebuilt i will weight it for you.....all i can say is HEAVY...

quote waqr
Yes!!!!!! Finally your Beetle is back. Lets time for some real offroad driving with the CAD engine Really nice by the way, I really like the combination of that blue and white color. How did you get this rather blurry transition between the white and the blue (I hope you understand what I mean. Damn english is hard )

About the tires, I guess dc2man have them on backwards since this increases the grip substantually.

quote waqr

hey waqr man thanks,i hope to be up and running tuesday if possible cause i havnt run this in so long im having withdrawing symtoms lol

i will pm you about the painting if you are intrested i couldnt be giving away my recipe hah... just messn..
about tyres, that was just a mock up sure i have whole car stripped at moment as above picsshows

nice one lads

Man that is one worn out clutch [X(] (both the clutch shoes and the spring). I think this reinforced spring will do a better job. How much higher in the RPM:s will this spring engage?

Please give up your secret regarding this paint job. I really like this blurry transition between the white and blue color.

yeah man i hope the clutch spring answers my prayers lol....

i spoke to one of the staff in hobbythek and he told me to forget the expensive clutches,he said use the upgraded spring.im not still convinced but i guess i wil have to see.

i have an 80mile day trip organised next week to my favourite beach,i better make sure that air filer is all secure,i may just pop on an outerwears also just to be sure lol....

so i got an fg fliter, redneck & outterwears..........i should be ok...........what do you think waqr??

Man, I bet you really long for next weekend then I am sure you will be happy with the new clutch.

Is it possible to get the outwear to cover both the FG filter and the redneck?

hello waqr man hows it going? so any news after weekend?

i hope to get out tuesday during the day actually lol im that impaitent.......

yeah its possible to use them two & THE FG COVER but my jetpro wont allow me to use the plastic fg cover which is very good on sand........i may try and modify it to fit.
so i may cover the two anyway just to be safe with outerwears also.

man you should start up a WAQR thread with your machines also, vids and pics........would be cool....

you could update then with new stuff.......

Yes, but unfortunately I have heard this for several months now. I believe it when I see them but if they give 2 hp gain then they are definitely worth waiting for.

I think I will buy my FG a new pipe aswell. I am very pleased with the Samba but it is always nice to buy somethin new. I guess you know this feeling dc2man

& last few pis of the day

the final beetle rebuild finished

now its a fully reinforced model featuring some of R/C best parts.i will always view this one at the top OF MY R/C COLLECTION food chain.
there is nothing to break in this not to mention lack of weak links,i suppose the weak links would be the few little plastic red rose joints & screws in chassis lol

That is awesome man. Great job! That really looks like a bulletproof FG Monster. What did you think about the blue clutch spring? Did you noticed any difference from the original one?

Just waiting for your videos to convert (in 22 mins)

hey bud....

i had a great evening out, this beetle is INSANE man wait until you see videos i have 2,its not even tuned.........these are just test videos........it lifts at high speed front end its crazy.....i had a tough time to control it.im actually happy now with jetpro,i think i will leave it there.

but its LOUD
im trying to upload second vid but sooooooooooooo slow lol

its litterly uncontrolable, dangerous even......i will not run this around anybody for saftey sake......i know the jetpro is a mid/high END pipe but i have never seen one of these to lift front end at high speed lol its crazy!!!!!

the rear end was litterly swaying the whole time from left to right with the power, its is just AWESOME..........im delighted with it now.

as i say this is just a test video in my local football field,i will have a nice PROPER video coming soon where i will set up a track at the famous inch beach kerry. { CANT WAIT}

what a lovely family evening out.......even my small man agreed lol

DAY 3 @ FOOTBALL FIELD FULLY TUNED & NEW CLUTCH

and in to another day........

more updates........i was waiting so long to get this finished.im delighted now,i love it.

& more updates..................MY CAD G270 4 BOLT HAND FINISHED 7HP MOTOR................PROPER MOTOR.

OK just said i would show all the doubters the real power of this beast, believe it or not yesterday at the beach i was using worn out clutch shoes so all i was getting was lots of slip and slipping rpms,BUT now this beast is a totally differnt ballgame,my new clutch shoes came today fitted with a reinforced clutch spring, what can i say works AWESOME.

i think the video says enough.

this is my fg beetle with an even better fine tuning and new clutch.
enjoy......

this is top shelf as far as r/c engines are concerned its pumping out a staggering 7hp {{i have certificates}} and it repersents a perfect balance of power & relibility over others.

this is what youd call an engine!!!!

This is by far one of my best videos with this elcon beelte.

So seems all all my recent videos went down a treat here...
CAD ENGINE tuned even better.....its like a nitros.
{enjoy}

with the soundtrack again of AC/DC this is by far an awesome display of the power of this CAD 4 bolt engine.
even better tuned,i think there is a hell of a lot more tuning to be done on it .)

i just cannot really believe the power of this thing.

enjoy & thanks to all who supported my stuff.

Default RE: DC2/GT5/C5/FG/EVO/ELCON/CAD/BEETLE

UPDATE:
FG beetle

well i got a set of lovely blue rear springs for my rear alloy shocks for my beetle, also i modified the exhaust manifold studs myself upsizing them on the head x2mill from standard bolt size up 2mill.
thing is when you run a pipe as big as a jet pro they mostly always come loose so this should rectify that for once and for all.

now my jetpro is getting an awesome grip on there and the bolts are so strong they will NOT come loose like the others..
simply used a drill to slightly then some wd40 for cutting and threaded in the bigger bolts.worked great!
