Not to snuff my local Hobby Shop, not that they carry much anyway. But has anyone dealt with HeliProz.com? They carry what I think I'm going to buy, JR Venture, Kyosho Caliber. I asked them about Century because I really like the scale Helio's. They said they were junk. Which really surprised me because I seem to be reading some good things about them. Any thoughts before I buy???
Thanks

I've bought a Raptor 50 V2 from them and parts to repair it. They get the order out the same day. There web site is not always up to date on what they have so I always call to make my order. They ship for free on orders over $100. It takes about 5 or 6 business days to get to me by standard UPS so sometimes I have to speed the delivery up.

I have had GREAT service from them, ordered my first Heli from them, and they called me back, and told me I wasn't ordering stuff that worked together. (ordered wrong size main blades) and wanted to know if I knew that? Most companies would have just shipped me the stuff I ordered, then let me find out the hard way! I give them a big A+

I've never had a problem with Heliproz. Although it does upset me to hear them say that about Century products. I own 2 Century heli's and love them both. I've also had good experience with Century's support.

I Found the exact opposite Chief, I called twice on monday of this week. Once I spoke with Kurt and the second time with Eric. Both of them were extreamly helpful for me "a newbie also" I ordered the raptor 30 with os engine and 49bb for 399.00 it arrived on thursday A++++ 150.00 cheaper than the local hobby shop great support and service. Give them a call back I am sure you must have caught them at a bad time or something.

I ordered my Raptor V2 and some upgrades from them without no problems at all. They told me which upgrades were worth it and which were "only if you want to". I did have a similar experience when I asked them about scale helis. They told me that Century helis were absolute sh*t. I thought this was taking it a bit far. I am thinking about the Century Bell 222, but for some reason their comment has made me think twice.

Jimmy3711,
It's hard to say whether their comments on Century heli's mechanics or on the scale fuselages (probably directed at the mechanics). I don't know anything about Century mechanics (the new Predator is getting good reviews), but I have a Century Hughes 500 fuse and it is excellent. The glass work is very good and the parts fit is excellent. I'm using Xcell mechanics in mine. I might do a Bell222 from Century some day as well, but I'd probably use Xcell mechanics in it as well.
Remember, Heliproz doesn't sell Century heli's (at least I don't think they do).

I had a problem setting up a gy401 gyro and called them for help. They were great working with me to get it straight. It was definately my setup that was off but they never pushed that point. You will always hear some brand bashing.Chevy vs. Ford in my opinion. All of them have some quirks. I have one of the cheapie Hawk Sports. Its a great learner heli. I mean you can learn to drive in a Ferrari but is it a good idea for a first car?Look at the Century forum on Runryder and see what the guys that fly them have to say!

I've never ordered from Heliproz before but if they say Century heli's are junk they defintely don't know what they're talking about. I have a Hawk Sport and just love it. I had a Hawk II before that. And my experience with Century has always been good. Answered my questions and got my order to me quick.

bdphil,
The guys were talking about the mechanics. They said nothing about the fuselages. You are right that Heliproz does not sell Century. They always seem to take the approach that you are going to be doing 3D everyday, all day long. When I told them that I was using the Futaba TX6HS, they told me that it was absolute junk as well. From what I have heard, I think that Century is fine.
