maayyynnn....my trex is givin me a huge headache right now... i mentioned a couple days ago that i had a minor crash... broke my landing gear and a couple of teeths on the main gear got chipped off.. well i got those fixed today and i wanted to hover around wit it...
now my problem is that my engine wont throttle up... all it does when i throttle up is that the swash plate moves up and the blades turn into an angle....
what could be wrong now? i checked the throttle hold feature and it wasnt that.... when i put the throttle hold value to +21% the blades twitch and the heli makes some beeping noises.. it keeps makin that noise till i bring it down to +20% or less....
what could be my problem?

to eliminate the tx/rx, try plugging a servo into the throttle channel and see if you get what you expect. if the servo moves correctly with throttle input, the problem lies in your esc or motor.
is aligns brushless setup "sensorless"? if so, your motor could be in a "dead spot" which would result in funny noises and prevent it from starting. if that were the case simply rotating the motor a bit would get it going.

Also i would just try to rotate the engine to make sure it does still turn. If it doesn't turn then you would get noises when it pumps current into it but doesn't move...

ok i tried to plug in a servo into the throttle channel, i took off the servo arm on the elevator servo and plugged that one into the throttle channel...
after pluggin it, the heli would not respond to any control inputs on my transmitter... first i played wit the throttle stick, nothing, than rudder, nothing... same wit the right stick, nothing... i replugged the throttle connector back into the throttle channel and my heli came back to life wit a series of beeps.... the heli than went back to normal responding to every input i made on the transmitter except the motor still wont fire up... [
]
i also tried turning the main gear and i got nothing... looks like the motor is fried?

That's because your throttle also happens to be your power circuit. Without that plugged in, your receiver is getting no power. Your ESC has a BEC built in which powers your receiver from the main battery.
It's unlikely that only one channel on your receiver has stopped working. If you still want to try it, plug the throttle from your speed controller into a different channel, then plug a servo into channel 3.
In all likelyhood, something on your motor or ESC has gone. If you crashed the helicopter while it was under power, it's likely your ESC.
Smell it, does it smell like toasted electronics?

thanks for the correction credence, i forgot about the bec.
i assume your motor/shaft/belt/tail spin freely since you turned the spur. it's possible your motor is still good.[

chances are you'll find a better esc for your $$$, hover it a few packs, and forget the whole deal happened.

the esc is the piiece the connects to the motor and battery?
what is a really good esc and how much would it cost?
whats the difference between having a really nice one compared to a crappy one? is there a physical difference in flight?

if a motor is fried, can ya still make it fire up or is it completely dead?
i ask because when i was messin around with the throttle hold, it made the motor twitch.....
